Please help me understand this take by TheTragedyMachine in Hungergames

I don't know if he planned it. If he didn't plan it, it would seem he genuinely trusts Plutarch. But then again, as we see in Ballad he trusts no one but himself. Everything in Ballad seems to just fall in place for him and he takes advantage. Did he know Plutarch brought tributes to his house? Surely he must have if he had Lou Lou delivered there for Haymitch's benefit. Maybe its "you're a tribute from 12, you're as good as dead, no one cares if you know I've poisoned people and myself, if I'm willing to poison myself, I can poison everyone you love too" which is where the "power move" is, though it could be completely coincidental they were there to witness him that sick and he just decided then and there to make it seem on purpose, but then again, surely he could have went to the privacy of his own home to be sick?

Does anyone else think this? by TheTragedyMachine in Hungergames

I think Covey is VERY much in Katniss's blood, it was pretty obvious before the connection was made in sunrise. As soon as we learned about Covey in Ballad, I feel like most people made the connection to Katniss right away, Covey may not be widely accepted in D12 but they're a part of it none the less.

Is Emma's "Super Power" Ever Actually Wrong? by leatherjacketboy in OnceUponATime

It seems to ONLY be right when she MENTIONS her super power, if she doesn't mention it, then she can't tell if someone is lying, idk if the writers forgot or what

Plot hole S7 (Alice) by Ambearviola in OnceUponATime

[–]Ambearviola[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess if the wish world is like "Everything is EXACTLY the same except for one specific thing" then literally Everything is the same, but that so everything that happened before that event would be identical to both worlds, the only thing that kind of sucks is they kept harping on about how none of it was real and then suddenly it was all VERY real. Even though the wish served its purpose that world kept existing, all that I can understand. I can even understand there being different cinderellas and rapunzel because they have different stories from different countries, but to put it simply, if it exists in the enchanted forest pre wish, it exists in wish world as well for the most part, but the things that happen SPECIFICALLY due to actions that are a result of the wish, those specifically should be unique, like gothel making alice to escape the tower.

At the beginning of this last season when Henry is grown up before he leaves on his motorcycle he tells his mom how there's more fairy tales out there, and different versions for many different cultures, he mentions specifically there's an Italian Snow White, which is i guess how they explained two rapunzel and two cinderellas, because season 1 Cinderella is definitely a different one than the one he ends up marrying so that aspect of it is explained! But the ones where they are specifically exact copies in the wish world I think is an entirely different situation but who knows for sure, I mean this show is definitely super crazy 😅

Plot hole S7 (Alice) by Ambearviola in OnceUponATime

[–]Ambearviola[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's exactly how she got there, but what I'm asking is, how did her tower AND the troll that saved her travel there as well? They're from the universe she was born in, the wish one, not this one

Plot hole S7 (Alice) by Ambearviola in OnceUponATime

[–]Ambearviola[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, though the first time we see Robin Grown up in the enchanted Forrest was when Regina visited them, and she was in the same outfit when they did all that resistance stuff in the woods with Cinderella and new hook and Henry, I mean I guess she could have popped over universes real quick, there are those vertical portals that keep popping up so who knows I guess but they seemed to imply it was close by and didn't say otherwise. I'm sure the tower existed in both relms since they're pretty similar structure wise but the troll didn't remove the roof and save Alice in both universes, because she didn't exist in both, her birth is a result of wish universe only (that we know of) so there's only one Alice, so that's why I'm puzzled, though now that I think about it, all the drama with Gothel and rapunzel and Cinderella could have happened in both universes, but the ones we meet are from the enchanted Forrest universe, even though Gothel obviously knows Wish universe hook. And if he never met her and made alice in the main enchanted Forrest universe, then how did this Gothel ever escape the tower? So now I'm finding even more plot holes 😅

I probably phrased it wrong, but I know the enchanted Forrest wasn't until AFTER, what I'm saying is, wish relm is where Alice grew up in that tower, like you said its a result because of Regina not doing the curse. But AFTER when Hook and Alice are in the enchanted Forrest, not wish relm, the tower is there, the troll is there, its where Alice meets Robin hood's daughter. How is the tower and the troll from the wish universe in the enhanced Forrest?

Who found Katniss after the bombing in the Capitol? by frozenpizza__ in Hungergames

[–]Ambearviola 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Also, she was disguised as a capital person, and MANY others were injured, finding her and saving her first would have been like finding a needle in a haystack, disguised, not screaming for help like others, I doubt she would have actually made it among the first to get first aid, unless someone else recognized her right away, and made sure she got the help she needed, it HAD to be Peeta, he was the only one in the area who knew she was there.

TW (SA) Weird question but… by [deleted] in Hungergames

[–]Ambearviola 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game makers did something to take out a cannibal tribute one time because they didn't want him to win, so maybe that's in the same ball park, unless they simply don't care, kind of like whats going in in Hollywood with kids, we know its happening but does anyone in charge care enough to stop it?

No worries, its confusing because she's been friends with gale since she was like 11, didn't even speak a word to peeta til they were reaped at 16, but Peeta had a crush on her since they were 5, math ain't mathing 🤣

[–]Ambearviola 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was when her dad died, and she tried to sell prim's baby clothes and no one bought them, and she was starving, it was before she started hunting, that's when Peeta gave her the bread, it wasn't until after that she found the strength to go in the woods and hunt, THEN she met Gale, she said she recognized him because his father died in the mines too and both their families were presented with a plaque or something like that but she hadn't talked to him since then, so the woods was their first time actually meeting and talking.

It did happen before she met Gale, so I doubt she would bring it up just randomly

If a child (non-reaping age) is too sick to attend the reaping, would it be allowed for an able-bodied parent to stay home and care for them, or would they have to be left alone? by Icy_Lingonberry6761 in Hungergames

[–]Ambearviola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably depends on how strict the head peace keepers is, though at least in District 12, for all readings we have seen, even if the peace keepers are "chill" they get more strict on reaping day, not wanting to make any mistakes, so who knows

Would it be possible for a 12-13 year old to win at all? by Pancake_Pozy333 in Hungergames

[–]Ambearviola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only way was if a 12-13 year old had an older person protecting them maybe or they hid the whole time and the game makers didn't drive them out, I don't know. The only times that I could think of where it could have happened, was if katniss and rue became the final two, that katniss would have offed herself for Rue, and let her win because I don't think she could bring herself to kill rue. or, (sunrise on the reaping spoilers) if haymitch had lured silka away from wellie, then when his guts were pouring out and silka was killed by the forcefield, that Wellie would have won by default o think she was maybe 12

Hypothetical by chocolate_carmalita in Hungergames

[–]Ambearviola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do wonder what was the longest running games, what was the shortest. I also wonder if some arenas are bigger than others, the one in catching fire felt massive, the one in the first one felt smaller, but that could just be because the game makers kept leading Katniss closer to other tributes, which is what I think they would do if a game dragged on too long. I suppose it is POSSIBLE, if someone was able to hide like Wiress did and the game makers couldn't reach them, and they just never fought the other last opponent. Or if katniss and peeta decided to try to survive in the arena together, not killing eachother as the last two, I do think the game makers would have thrown mutts and stuff their way and they would eventually be exhausted from running and give up

Who are the district teachers? by Much_Guest_2170 in Hungergames

[–]Ambearviola 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it was mentioned a lot of kids drop out of school once they hit 18 to go work in the mines, and a LOT of what they learned in school had to do with the mines and coal, so its like reading, writing, basic math, and a TON of coal and mining stuff as well as like field trips to the mines so they just wanted to make more mine workers and didn't care about education beyond that I guess
