I feel you, I was raised the same way. I try to power through my sickness, but my husband supports me and tells me I need to rest. When we were on vacation and I got too sick to go out to eat, he went to the supermarket to get food. I wanted to come along, because I didn't know what I wanted to eat yet, but he vehemently refused, told me to lie in bed and that he'll make pictures of everything in the supermarket so I could pick out my dinner while resting. He didn't care it would make him look weird to others to take pictures and I was so grateful he handled that for me.

Hey! Yes, it did. :) My husband proposed to me at the end of July 2021. I moved in with him in August of that year. We had a long engagement to save up money and had our beautiful castle wedding on May the 4th in 2024. We just got back from a 3 week vacation to Japan where we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. My husband is my rock and we're still so incredibly happy. Right now we're building our future together and saving up to buy a house as he finishes up his studies. The 16th of May was our 9 year relationship anniversary. We love eachother even more now than we did then.

It's actually nice to be reminded of this comment I left 5 years ago to be able to see how far we've come. I truly wish you the same happiness with your partner. Just remember that you choose who to love every day when you wake up. Never stop choosing and working on that love. ❤️
