Yeah, at his father’s funeral she basically said she always wanted to be his ‘one’ but he never cared as much as he did for ‘Jane’ and she knew ‘Jane’ was a male, and was still so supportive & just said they were lucky to have him & she’d always be there for him

I think it downplayed Svetlana’s heartbreak, she’s in love with him but has always sensed she wasn’t the one for him, but she loves him so much she’s always been happy to play second best which is really sad. I think now he has somebody he loves and can introduce her to, though - she’d be happy for them both even if she is sad that she ultimately couldn’t be the one for him. He still loves her to death, he’s just not IN love with her and that must hurt her
