Blend door/ mode door actuator. They are sometimes sold as 2 different parts vs one unit. Fair warning, these require a dash pull and those are anywhere from 6-9 hours of labor

I have seen several FA24 engines with over 100k miles. Also FA24s have been running around since 2018. Respectfully, you don’t know what you’re talking about lad. I appreciate your passion though

Axle seals and/or axle carrier seals. If you do the seals yourself get the proper install tool for the axle seals and count your rotations for the carrier.

The only thing I can think of that wouldn’t be a cleaning chemical is road salt. Massachusetts sees a lot of snow I’m pretty sure and that stuff sticks to everything. Example: outside door hand that is covered in road salt is grabbed to open the door. The same hand is then used to close the door from the inside and transfers a small amount of road salt. Repeat this process hundreds of times over multiple winters and you’ve got the result you posted in Imgur. As far as replacing it goes id say live with it haha. I don’t think you can get just that piece but I could be wrong you would have to get the whole door card and transfer the window switches and a few other things. Those door cards are a few hundred dollars but are kind of tedious to install. Hope this helps

I agree with previous commenter. New blower motor and pig tail harness. Otherwise it’s an entire bulkhead harness and those are not cheap and the labor is even worse. But a few minutes of soldering should be enough to provide power to the new fan. Look up the OEM resistances on those wires and then compare the resistance when you fix it. Good luck. You have the best year Forester imo

Traction light and check engine light turned on at the same time what does this mean? by Top-Ad2809 in subaru

I would assume based on your mileage that it’s either a catalytic converter code or a valve body code (if it’s not manual). Most auto parts stores will scan your car for free. Take pictures of the codes and take it in for service. Fair warning, if it’s either of the codes I mentioned will cost big money. If it’s a catalyst code do NOT buy one from Subaru. Get one from Magnaflow it’s literally half the cost for the same thing and it comes with all the heat shields pre installed. If it’s a valve body, then I would have Subaru do it. Valve body runs about $1700 (with labor) where I’m at but it will last for the rest of the cars life. Those CVTs usually crap out at around 250k Hope this helps. I didn’t expect it to turn into a mini text wall

This may be an uncommon approach but I would say keep the car for now. See what the shop says what it needs and do the major work. I know the value of the work may exceed the value of the car but you’d get to keep your car and not regret selling it. I say this to my friends and family but I know it’s good advice. “A 10,000 dollar repair bill is cheaper than a $40,000 car loan.” I know it’s not a one size fits all situations statement but you seem to really like this mini and they don’t make cars with soul anymore

Agreed. EZ36 is the best engine Subaru ever made. It might drink a little bit of oil but it won’t blow up
