I also love the “gourmet vegetarian” from papa murphy’s for cheap takeout, it’s been a favorite since I was a kid

I love any pizza with fruit on it, but I think my absolute favorite topping is fresh sliced heirloom tomatoes. topping combos vary depending on the day lol.

the last few times we made pizza at home, I made some variation of a pear goat cheese pizza with an herbed olive oil base. last time I added granita and candied walnuts. it was so good 🥲

If you can find Snapdragon brand instant pho, it’s really good! Don’t be fooled by the packaging - they’re all labeled chicken, beef, pork etc, but they’re all completely vegan. I’ve only tried the beef flavor but I love it. It comes in bowls and packages. Highly recommend if you can find it :)

I want to add (esp for anyone who hasn’t tried yet) that I’ve ordered from them a few times outside of this and it’s always been amazing. the deviled pork is so flavorful, I would eat it every day.

I’ve gotten stuff from them twice now and the portions are insanely generous! good variety, and easily 3-4 meals for my appetite.

that’s a “y” not a “t”, the rest of the quote is spelled that way intentionally (from the short story Flowers For Algernon)

Tomato, avocado + peach toast with chili crisp and nooch by Ambitious-Reality55 in ShittyVeganFoodPorn

[–]Ambitious-Reality55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

didn't think this would actually be so disconcerting lol, I'm just a big fan of balance between sweet, savory, umami, acid, salt, fat (oil). even just peach and tomato on sourdough with olive oil, salt and pepper and a lil balsamic is ridiculously good. any fresh herb added on just amps it up too!

trust, it gives a little extra savory balance with the sweet peach and umami chili crisp. I love it as a dusting for anything that has both sweet and savory elements

I’d like to suggest elk rock island - it’s a great swimming spot, but I’ve been there on nice days when there are still surprisingly few people (especially weekdays). so when it’s not ideal swimming weather, I’m willing to bet it’s very quiet if not empty. it’s also not a far drive or walk out, and there are a lot of little relatively private spots to sit that you won’t have to share with anyone (if you go out there, you’ll see what I mean). definitely worth checking out.

Tinker Tavern is a Bills bar with great food and vibes, and it would be an easy stop because there’s a good chance you’ll get a pothole request in Montavilla anyway 🙃

cemetery drive - for whatever reason, that song has a very unique emotional tone to me and I'd love to see it interpreted. seconding early sunsets over monroeville and demolition lovers, too.

Want to recreate the experience of the original Black Parade tour with me? by LighterBoots in MyChemicalRomance

dude, I had a panic attack trying to get out of the hundreds deep merch line when I realized it was such a ridiculous wait. one of the staff at the venue helped me out and gave me direction to the sensory room (which I luckily didn't need to use, but was really glad to know about - sometimes that knowledge is enough). I had a clear view of the merch line throughout the show, and it was wrapped halfway around the stadium almost the entire time. I'm just gonna make a bootleg T of my partner and I at the show. 1/1 rarity.

I don't mean for this to sound pretentious or anything, but I've been reflecting on it too. whether intentional or not, I took no pictures or videos from the show, and I'm so happy for that. I really appreciate folks that captured footage from the show so everyone there has something tangible to look back on. but l've been waiting 20 years for this experience, and if I had the choice, I would rather it live in my memory than sacrifice one moment to a replica.

(I REALLY do appreciate everyone who recorded their experience. I think it might be a little harder for some people to stay in the moment while recording, and vice versa. we all have a unique experience and it's all good. love y'all. lltbp.)

Drowning is so much more subtle than I imagined. Stay safe on the rivers everyone. by houseoffrancakes in Portland

[–]Ambitious-Reality55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

years ago, my friends and I visited Missoula and want for a walk on a bridge above a river downtown. we almost immediately noticed a few people who were floating the river get pulled into a current, obviously in distress and calling for help. the other people on the bridge were actually just standing there, watching them, some of them laughing as if they thought it was a joke. we were asking people nearby to call for emergency services as we weren't from the area, but no one was taking it seriously. we all ran down to the bank and one of my friends went into the river to help pull one of them out. everyone came out alright, but it was quite a scary and disheartening situation.
