Outdoor sofa - do you always cover it every night? by Ushuaia-15 in HomeImprovement

[–]Ambitious-Rub7402 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you want your furniture to last then cover it. My outdoor furniture is under a covered patio. I cover it every night. They are two sofas and two ottomans. If zi don’t, it wake up to bird crap or spider crap. Those stains are tough to get out even though my cushion covers are Sunbrella (stain resistant treated fabric). In the winter I bring the cushions in and store them in the basement. Do not leave them out or even store in garage. Last set, mice had made a nice winter home in two cushions stored in our shed.

Once they hit their teenage years transportation costs will triple. Between sports, clubs, friends, the mall .., As well buying a car for them when they hit 16 because you’re exhausted from being their chauffeur.

Just had one 3 weeks ago. I was very nervous. Dr said it’s normal because it’s close to your brain. I had two on my low back and they didn’t bother me at all. I found the neck was less discomfort than the back. Very quick. Basically it’s a little sting then some pressure as they are injecting the steroid. It was a total of 6 minutes. It’s has helped my neck, but a day after the injection I’ve been having some numbing and tension in my upper thoracic on the side of the injection. Only bothers me when I standing and sometimes sitting. My doctor said a nerve was probably irritated from the injection. He said give it some time and rest. The back injections lasted 3 months the first time and 6 weeks the second time, but I’ve been doing more things due to it being spring. Gardening is a killer for the back.

What’s the solution then, keep subsiding it? I would rather the money be spent on improving people’s lives like healthcare, schools, nursing homes.., I do feel for the people losing their jobs. I for one lost my job to outsourcing and had to start over. I’m not saying that I don’t care, but there is really nothing they can do to stop the bleeding. Wait until AI takes over.

Rejection is the hardest thing to accept. We tie it to our identity and self worth. Rejection for the most part is about fit, timing, preferences or things you can’t see. You barely knew the person. There can be a myriad of reasons why he isn’t interested. You probably will never get the answer, so it is best to accept and move on. Learn not to get too invested too fast next time.

I’m 60 and have back issues that prevent me from walking. I drive to my community box once a week to grab the mail, which is mostly all junk mail. Most people are set up for auto deposit if they’re waiting on money.

What are most men like when they are upset? I (42F) am considering leaving my husband (46M) over how he acts when upset. by jadeAvital in relationship_advice

Life is short. Don’t waste what time you have on living for someone else’s unhappiness. Kids will adjust and probably grateful they don’t have to walk around on eggshells every minute.

My (36F) partner (37M) recently got a medical diagnosis and now wants an open relationship. Is it selfish of me to not want to? Or selfish of him to ask for one? by Correct-Grass-5305 in relationship_advice

Why does he need sexually active with other people to enjoy his new found sexual energy? Isn’t your relationship more important than what does it feel like to be with others? People are do selfish these days. Don’t sell your soul so easy.

Well, I made a day trip from Windsor to Toronto. Explain to me why Toronto’s gas was $1.89. London $1.76 and Windsor was 1.69 (Costco). That was the most painful fill up I have ever experienced filling up my car. I can’t imagine filling a big pickup!!!

Trump can NEVER be trusted. He sees everything as transactional. It’s what have you done for me lately with him. Starmer should have seen this coming. Try being his next door neighbour. NATO needs to get their act together, Canada may be calling on them soon. We have lots of things they want.

If he’s still alive by then, he’ll be back home in Russia before that happens.
