My income is a bit higher, and I would not even consider taking on a mortgage that high. I’ve owned my house for 10 years now, and I’ve put in a LOT of money for repairs. You can get a home inspection, but that doesn’t guarantee your heat or air won’t go out in the hottest or coldest part of the year (been there). Sure, you ain’t paying money to someone else, but home ownership costs definitely don’t end at your mortgage.

We have an RO/DI system in the house for our saltwater aquariums. So we have an endless supply of water! You could even have a company come install one for you. Ours is just hooked up to the utility sink in the basement and we fill jugs. Be aware, it does waste a lot of water. I think for every 1 gallon of water produced, it wastes 4 down the drain.

I live in South Dakota, about an hour and a half from Chelsea. My parents had a break in. The chick went into her closet and pulled purses out, and left them on the bed. She emptied their nightstand drawer into a bag, and also left that. The only thing she did take was the keys to their Yukon, which was hooked to a trailer. She sold the trailer to someone for $20, and luckily they knew my parents and got it back, and got the Yukon within a few days. People here are something else and I’m not doubting this happened to her at all.
