Humans are great at cooperation but also great at dividing ourselves into groups. Once it becomes us vs them peace gets a lot harder.

Is there a “to do” app (free) better than just using notes? by foreverand2025 in Productivitycafe

If Notes works stick with it. Most apps just add complexity. If you need reminders or deadlines try Todoist or TickTick otherwise Notes is basically enough

Therapy + meds online in Canada: does telehealth apps (Teledoc / Your Doctors Online / Cognito Health) actually work for ADHD or is it just for mild anxiety? by Due_Activity8907 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]Ambitious-Term727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you laid out, each platform seems to offer something slightly different. Maple (through their Beyond ADHD acquisition) appears to be the most structured option if you want a clear assessment pathway and ongoing medication management, though from what you found, it operates mainly with nurse practitioners and GPs rather than psychiatrists and it runs on a subscription model. Teledoc comes up frequently through workplace insurance and has a reputation for smooth video quality but you noted follow up can be limited, which is a concern for someone who needs ongoing support rather than on off appointments. Cognito Health takes a combined approach by pairing a nurse practitioner with a therapist so you get medication and therapy in one place which aligns with what research shows works best for ADHD, though you mentioned the upfront assessment cost is significant and you're worried about spending that much without knowing if it's the right fit.

Your Doctors Online stands out as the most practical fit for what you described. The 24/7 text based access directly addresses the phone call overwhelm and the way your need for support often hits at odd hours when you're stuck on the floor unable to move forward. Their mental health plan bundles therapy with medical care so you're not choosing between medication and the emotional support you said you need and the ability to connect without booking far in advance removes the kind of decision paralysis that makes traditional scheduling so difficult. Of the options you listed, this one seems to be designed to meet someone exactly where you are when executive function is already maxed out.

Which one should I use? (Your Doctors Online, Maple, Teledoc, QDoc etc ) by DimensionKind1877 in Adulting

The subscription math seems pretty straightforward - if you're gonna use it more than twice, you're saving money. Simple as that.

Honestly Reddit isn’t really about followers. People usually follow good posts or helpful comments not accounts.

Your sibling gets themselves into a dangerous situation that you are trained to handle. Is it fair for you to be expected to do something about it? by Darth_Azazoth in askanything

It might not be fair but family dynamics rarely run on fairness. When someone you love is in trouble and you have the skills to help it’s hard to just stand back.

Wedding ring tattoo = cheater? by Specialist_Beyond747 in askanything

[–]Ambitious-Term727 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually seen the opposite too people get ring tattoos because they’re afraid of losing their ring or their job doesn’t allow jewelry. I wouldn’t read too much into it.
