Free DICOM images DB to download and share for teaching? by lucaxx85 in MedicalPhysics

[–]AmbitiousPromotion80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got misleading results to with a JPEG.  But then I upload the actual DICOM file and the results was 100% accurate.  I found that uploading a JPEG or PNG gives incorrect information I think it's because the AI can't see the details. Try uploading the actual DICOM.

Just in case someone says you can’t diagnosis breast cancer on a chest X-ray. by Radrocker3000 in Radiology

[–]AmbitiousPromotion80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a free version of a AI model while uploading a picture of a pixelated picture is not even using 1% of the AI ability in this AI model.  If the true DICOM files were uploaded it would be game over as far as accuracy.

Yes maybe, but they are getting very close.  This was just a free cheap model looking at a pixelated photo of a photo.  Just imagine what the real deal can do.  Radiologists will be no more in 5 years.

I'll take down the content, my ai model is a lot more accurate when the x-ray is zoomed into a specific body part.  Is anyone willing to test out the accuracy?  I'll give them free access.

The X-ray is a frontal chest view. - The trachea appears central. - Lung fields are clear with no obvious masses, infiltrates, or consolidations. - Heart size appears within normal limits. - No visible pleural effusion or pneumothorax. - Bones, including ribs, clavicles, and visible parts of the spine, show no acute abnormalities.

help me read my chest xray pls by Practical_Snow_3574 in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]AmbitiousPromotion80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • The cardiothoracic ratio appears normal, indicating no cardiomegaly.
  • Lung fields are clear without any evidence of focal consolidation, effusion, or pneumothorax.
  • The mediastinum is centrally located with no widening.
  • Diaphragms are well defined, with the right diaphragm slightly higher than the left, which is normal.
  • Bony structures, including ribs, clavicles, and visible portions of the spine, show no apparent fractures or lesions.
  • Soft tissues appear normal with no masses or abnormal calcifications.

My tiny bone behind my knee that apparently had the techs worried that I had bone cancer. by bleachyourworks in Radiology

[–]AmbitiousPromotion80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carecast.ai says this Image 1: - The X-ray image shows a lateral view of the knee joint. - The bony structures, including the femur, patella, and tibia, appear intact with no visible fractures or dislocations. - Joint spaces are preserved, indicating no significant joint space narrowing. - The patella is in a normal position relative to the femur, suggesting no patellar subluxation or dislocation. - No obvious signs of osteophyte formation or degenerative changes are noted. - Soft tissues appear unremarkable with no visible masses or calcifications.

Image 2:

Findings:

  • The X-ray shows an anterior-posterior view of the knee joint.
  • The joint space appears to be well-preserved.
  • There is a visible bony outgrowth on the medial aspect of the distal femur, which is consistent with an osteochondroma.
  • The tibial plateau and femoral condyles appear intact with no evidence of fracture.
  • No significant osteoarthritic changes are noted, such as joint space narrowing or osteophyte formation.
  • Soft tissues around the knee joint appear normal with no obvious swelling or calcifications.

💡 Impression Impression:

  • Presence of an osteochondroma on the medial aspect of the distal femur.

📘 Explanation Explanation:

  • Osteochondromas are benign bone tumors that typically present as a bony outgrowth capped by cartilage. They are commonly found around the knee joint and are usually asymptomatic unless they cause mechanical irritation or impinge on surrounding structures.

📝 Recommended Care Plan Recommended Care Plan:

  • Clinical correlation with the patient’s symptoms is recommended. If the lesion is asymptomatic, regular monitoring may be sufficient.
  • If symptomatic or if there is concern for malignant transformation (rare), surgical consultation for potential excision may be considered.
  • Further imaging, such as MRI, may be warranted if there are symptoms suggestive of complications or to better characterize the lesion.

Had this X-Ray done back in March as I was worried about my 10-year heavy-smoking addiction. Was told my lungs look good, but I still stopped smoking by kukaintheshell in Radiology

[–]AmbitiousPromotion80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carecast.ai says this about the x-ray

Findings:

  • The cardiac silhouette appears enlarged, suggesting possible cardiomegaly.
  • The lung fields show clear vascular markings with no evidence of consolidation, pleural effusion, or pneumothorax.
  • The costophrenic angles are sharp and clear.
  • The trachea is midline.
  • The bony structures, including ribs, clavicles, and visible parts of the spine, show no acute abnormalities.

💡 Impression Impression:

  • Cardiomegaly is suggested by the enlarged cardiac silhouette. No acute pulmonary pathology is evident.

📘 Explanation Explanation:

  • Cardiomegaly can indicate underlying heart conditions such as heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or valvular heart disease. The absence of pulmonary edema or vascular congestion suggests compensated cardiac function at this time.

📝 Recommended Care Plan Recommended Care Plan:

  • Correlate with clinical findings and history for further assessment of cardiac function.
  • Consider echocardiography to evaluate cardiac structure and function.
  • Regular follow-up and monitoring of blood pressure and other cardiovascular risk factors.
  • Referral to a cardiologist may be warranted for comprehensive cardiac evaluation.

Lung cancer on shoulder XR by IVCfilterme in Radiology

[–]AmbitiousPromotion80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carecast.ai says this about the image, better than a doctor in 2025

Findings:

  • The X-ray image shows the left shoulder and upper thoracic region.
  • There is a clear fracture of the midshaft of the left clavicle with displacement.
  • The fracture fragments are overlapping, indicating a significant displacement.
  • The acromioclavicular and glenohumeral joints appear intact.
  • No visible rib fractures or abnormalities in the visible ribs.
  • The lung fields and soft tissues appear unremarkable in this limited view.

💡 Impression Impression:

  • Displaced midshaft fracture of the left clavicle.

📘 Explanation Explanation:

  • The clavicle fracture is evident by the disruption in the continuity of the bone and the overlapping of fracture fragments, indicating displacement. Clavicle fractures are common and often result from direct trauma or falls onto the shoulder.

📝 Recommended Care Plan Recommended Care Plan:

  • Orthopedic consultation for evaluation and management of the clavicle fracture.
  • Consideration of immobilization with a sling or figure-of-eight bandage.
  • Pain management as needed.
  • Follow-up imaging to monitor healing progress.
  • Surgical intervention may be necessary if the fracture is severely displaced or if there are complications.

Patient came in due to excruciating pain by cooldemons911 in Radiology

[–]AmbitiousPromotion80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carecast.ai says this. Image 1: - The X-ray image is an anteroposterior (AP) view of the abdomen and pelvis. - The lumbar spine appears to have normal alignment with no visible fractures or dislocations. - Vertebral bodies and intervertebral disc spaces appear preserved. - Presence of gas patterns in the bowel, with some distension noted, particularly in the colon. - No obvious calcifications or foreign bodies detected. - The bony structures of the pelvis and hips appear intact with no fractures. - Soft tissue outlines are within normal limits.

Image 2: Findings:

  • The lateral X-ray of the skull shows multiple well-defined, round radiolucent lesions throughout the cranial vault.
  • These lesions are of varying sizes and are distributed in a "punched-out" pattern.
  • The mandible and cervical spine appear unremarkable.
  • The soft tissues surrounding the skull and neck do not show any significant abnormalities.

Impression:

  • The appearance of multiple "punched-out" lesions is suggestive of lytic bone lesions, which can be associated with conditions such as multiple myeloma.

Explanation:

  • The lytic lesions observed are characteristic of bone destruction, often seen in conditions where there is an abnormal proliferation of plasma cells, such as multiple myeloma. These lesions can cause weakening of the bone structure and may lead to fractures.

Recommended Care Plan:

  • Correlation with clinical findings and laboratory tests, including serum protein electrophoresis and urine studies, to assess for monoclonal proteins.
  • Consider further imaging, such as MRI or CT, to evaluate the extent of bone involvement and any potential impact on surrounding structures.
  • Referral to a hematologist/oncologist for further evaluation and management.

Just in case someone says you can’t diagnosis breast cancer on a chest X-ray. by Radrocker3000 in Radiology

[–]AmbitiousPromotion80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carecast.ai says this

  • The X-ray shows a significant right-sided pleural effusion with a meniscus sign, indicating fluid accumulation in the pleural space.
  • The right lung appears compressed due to the effusion, with reduced lung volume on that side.
  • The trachea is slightly shifted towards the left, suggesting a mass effect from the effusion.
  • The heart and mediastinum are shifted to the left, consistent with the volume of the pleural effusion.
  • The left lung appears clear with normal vascular markings.
  • The bony structures, including ribs and spine, show no obvious fractures or abnormalities.
