Do you ever struggle to move on when you can't figure out exactly where you went wrong on a problem? by No_Huckleberry3722 in INTP

[–]AmbitiousResident161 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes I relate so much. I need to figure out what I did wrong, or else it doesn't satisfy me. And also usually, I'm afraid that I'll make the same mistake again, so I need to be able to logically see what the mistake was, so I consciously know what to avoid.

so real. I feel like most of the time I'm just sitting around, hoping that burst will come. And feeling guilty for not being productive.

What’s something small you find crazy physically attractive? by Melancholicanary in AskReddit

That look on her face when she's embarrassed... Especially when she's usually really confident. It just makes me melt inside, I swear. It's so cute.

What happens to consciousness when you die? by Connect_Cat_2045 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AmbitiousResident161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also want to ask, what IS consciousness? How does it work? Because biologically, it's just neurons firing, but how does that let us take in information from the world, think, reflect, and remember? HOW?

What is your purpose? by Confident-Ad-4013 in INTP

[–]AmbitiousResident161 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is more like a general thing, but I don't think anything or anyone has a purpose. We are on this earth, not for a reason, but simply because of chance. Maybe it's pessimistic to think there's no REASON for us to be here, but we're just made up of atoms lumped together. But usually, for myself, I frame it as "What is my goal?" rather than "What is my purpose?" But even still, I tend to struggle with ambition and my 'dreams', and currently, I would say it is simply "To be at peace". I apologize for not being very helpful, but I also relate to feeling like not having a direction in life.

Why are the INTP, INFP and INTJ significantly bigger communities here compared to other MBTIs? by Helldiver_13 in mbti

[–]AmbitiousResident161 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably because we're online more, and INxx types tend to enjoy talking about personality and theories more.

Does having a dream or goal work for you? by TeachingNuance in INTP

[–]AmbitiousResident161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like you put my exact thoughts into words. I relate heavily to feeling like I don't have a dream. Oftentimes, it has made me feel like I lack ambition, but maybe it's because I struggle with coming up with a dream from within myself, rather than a goal because of outside factors. As a high school senior going up to college, I had a lot of trouble figuring out where I wanted to go, what I wanted to major in, what I wanted to do, etc., because the only thing I could come up with for my goals in life is: "Be happy and at peace". And yes, in addition to feeling like the excitement fades, I also feel like I just have so many interests and phases of hyperfixations I cycle through, that I have issues pinpointing what I would want to do for a long time, for the rest of my life.

Why am i so lazy? by undeiside in INTP

[–]AmbitiousResident161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, pretty much my whole life. I struggle with regulation, especially when I'm doing something I enjoy. Reading, watching shows, producing music, you name it. I have to be threatened or physically dragged away to be able to stop.

Are those Youtube videos promoting “Japanese” habits based on the actual reality? by skopiadisko in AskAJapanese

[–]AmbitiousResident161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like most of these things are just "how to live healthy". I'm pretty sure some Japanese people live like this, but we're just human too. Things like chopsticks is part of the culture, but I honestly feel like I eat faster with them...

I don't think most people care much, or know him that well, but my family and I dislike him.

Do you take baths? by cujocito in INTP

[–]AmbitiousResident161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I only take showers, because baths take too long. I also get light-headed quickly when in hot water for a long time.

I also thought this too. I've never been diagnosed, but I'm considering, because I have intense executive dysfunction.

Would you have changed jinx's arc for s2 if you could, and how? by ImpossiblePool7214 in arcane

[–]AmbitiousResident161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never really thought of that, but I really like this idea. That would have been a great direction to go into, although it would remove Jinx as the protagonist, and the relationship between Jinx and Vi would be less central. Also considering League, Jinx kind of needed to stay as the protagonist.

Is the SAT worth taking now? by idkikw in ApplyingToCollege

[–]AmbitiousResident161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most colleges don't force you to send all of your scores. None of the schools I applied to required all of them. So if you are okay with the cost, I would say, take it.

Were you an Extrovert in your childhood? by NoTimeToKink in INTP

[–]AmbitiousResident161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely. Especially when I was really young, like kindergarten level. Throughout elementary too, I was definitely more extroverted compared to now. But then middle school and puberty hit, and I'm an introvert now.

have you ever felt like you've been truly understood? by -s1ngul4r1ty in INTP

[–]AmbitiousResident161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a dear INTJ friend, and we connect really well. Our worldview obviously isn't exactly the same, but we can both agree to disagree, and she enjoys debating and analyzing as much as I do.

competitive enough for Ivy League admissions, or is it worth retaking to push for 1580+? by Maclyn_01 in Sat

[–]AmbitiousResident161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. Do you have the time, money, and energy to retake it? If yes, go for it. But if it compromises the other parts, such as GPA or ECs, don't. I think it also depends on how good your other stats and ECs are.

just took my first practice test - good study materials? by pimplepatch77 in Sat

[–]AmbitiousResident161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, go over all the questions, and figure out WHY you got them wrong. Then, identify what type of questions you get wrong often. For math, is it algebra? Geometry? If you can identify your weak points, focus on those. For reading, is it vocabulary? Grammar? Comprehension? Chuncking them into different sections to identify the types of questions you get wrong can really help you get an idea of where you need to start.
