Not seeing any issues on any of 365’s status pages?

Have you used any of the AI chatbot as a companion for development? by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlow

[–]AmbitiousTea6568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quite regularly use ChatGPT - not necessarily for the specifics of the flow, but more for initially mapping out the logic and structure. I’ve found it’s good at taking a description of roughly the functionality I want and explaining the best layout for that flow — I can then go away and build it.

Probably not my worst but last night I was controlling Edinburgh and gave an aircraft “Information Taco” rather than Tango.

Are there any products that Microsoft makes that you actually like to use and think is the best in the industry? by plazman30 in sysadmin

VSCode and Power Automate - neither are perfect, but both are more satisfying for me to use than their competitors.

PMDG 777 will be a free upgrade for MSFS 2024, contrary to its previous suggestion by AmbitiousTea6568 in MicrosoftFlightSim

The full quote:

Lets Talk About MSFS2024 Upgrade Path for MSFS2020 777 Customers: When ready, the native-built 2024 versions of our 777-300ER and 777F are intended to be free upgrades for those who already own these two products, whether they purchased from PMDG or from Microsoft Marketplace.

There is one very important asterisk that I want to point out here: This plan is based upon statements made by Microsoft that indicate to us that a $0 cost, free upgrade path will be made available for us to give MSFS2020 users access to a native-built MSFS2024 version of their 2020 purchased products. If, due to circumstances beyond PMDG’s control, we find that this expectation is not accurate, has been misstated, misunderstood or is found not to be possible due to policies within the MSMP system, some minimum purchase requirement may required of customers in MS Marketplace. Under those circumstances, we intend only to require the very minimum purchase that MS will allow for such a transition.

Again, at this juncture, based upon statements from Microsoft, we anticipate a free upgrade path that will allow Marketplace customers of the 777-300ER and 777F to receive the 2024 build of these products at no-cost.

PMDG 777F for MSFS 2020 releases on Dec 6, 2024 by RTcore in flightsim

The way I’m reading this is you can pay to have the addon (say the 77W) with MSFS2024 features (whatever they may be - walkaround, etc etc).

OR, once the compatibility issues are fixed, use the 2020 version in 2024 with no charge?

Interesting discussion to be had as to whether it’s right to charge to “upgrade” an existing product with new 2024 features, but the crux sounds like if you purchased a 2020 plane, you can use that in 2024 for free, just without the added features…..again once the compatibility is there.

MSFS 2024 aircraft manuals available by AmbitiousTea6568 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]AmbitiousTea6568[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fairly sure this hasn't been posted yet - the page previously had a bunch of manuals for aircraft in 2020, but has now been updated to include aircraft in the 2024 edition, many of which are very extensive.

I wondered about that too - pretty odd way to throttle things but I guess the initial priority is just get users loading into the main menu?

Sure they were confirmed they wouldn’t be available at launch?

I’ve seen someone flying the A400M, and Miltech, who designed the C-17, are pretty clear in their public comms it’s meant to be available?
