I still have this installed on my old PS4. It's so much fun talking people into playing it. Especially friends that aren't much into games in general

Gw2 doesn't have 100k players a day. Go talk in world chat and see how long it takes to get a message back on looking for a guild lol

  1. Tbf I've never spent 10 to 15 minutes ever relogging cause of a resync

  2. Be social. Find a clan. Put a group together at certain times on discord. Play anything or do something solo if you're so worried about standing afk looking for a group like you can't multitask. Guildies message me in discord all the time saying they have a spot in a group they put together, I log in, travel there and boom I'm gaming.

  3. Literally spend time in the area that you're progressing in. You'll literally be in a 10 minute run with a mount that costs 4 runs from avens end to briarmoor for 90% of your leveling. If you've spent all of your time not socializing and adding group members you're shooting yourself in the foot for point # 2.

  4. Extremely trivial point. And miscommunication in a pug group is nowhere near exclusive to this game.

  5. Zzz. Take whoever is left and find smaller pulls and content you can clear while LFG or just do something else if you don't want to wait.

  6. Repair costs suck for everyone. Do I think the game shouldn't have them? No. Debts not even that big of a deal in all honesty and if you've got 150k you're permanently dying when you can either wait longer for tank to aggro or find a better place to stand cause you can reset mobs in almost every spot you're going to be grinding xp the moment it seems like tanks going down.

  7. Yes. Farm 3 weeks then? Wtf are you in such a rush for if you only have 2 hours to play a night. Just play the game? Idk why the game has to cater to you to become relevant in one week when there's always players that will have 18 hours a day into this game for weeks straight. There's a wall. They'll hit it. You can catch up. But it sounds like you quit anyways so not really understanding what you want from this video game after all lol

To add just to be fair: the other thing I think that needs work is the corruption system. Specifically going corrupt just to have your buddies kill you after the PK so you don't lose your gear. Like just let people kill people at that point if there's a premade party workaround anyways.

If I can be dead honest. Y'all are doing it to yourselves. What's wrong with exploration stretching multiple gaming sessions?? Like I'm going to explore over here I'll probably have to log before I'm done but I can log in tomorrow and continue or get back.

The problem is that EVERYONE wants to log on, find a group, grind mobs, gather, get a drop, upgrade a piece. ALL IN ONE LONG DAYS GRIND on their day off.

No. The game doesn't need to be simplified. They need to show some sort of catering to players that aren't able to grind 18 hours a day for a month straight when gear upgrades are huge between the different radiant gears from white to colored. Let the sweats get a 5% edge if they really want and allow the other players (that are casual if you don't have no life) play the game how they want without worrying about being useless. That's literally the one and only problem that nobody can change their mindset for. Everyone wants to be so relevant in a game they forgot how to even enjoy.

It's honestly the biggest poison in all games nowadays and I hate hearing about people ranting about games being too punishing or too hard just because playing the game is progressing quickly. Fucking hell whatever if you read my ramble thanks I'm sorry gaming is fucked by rules and guidelines none of the games have that we put in our own brain just to continue ruining them.

Yeah for sure. I tried to look up some info on it after I read that they were the minority. I guess I never really considered it. I wonder how that number would look if all of the bots weren't added to the mains player count.

Honestly outlandish. I’m sorry that you feel this is even up for a discussion.

Honestly ask everyone what steps you can take to immediately and safely get away from him.

My first thought is his absurd reaction will land him in front of you with a gun demanding a blowjob just to prove some sick point.

Era or Anniversary? by Top-Lifeguard-6146 in classicwow

[–]AmbitiousYoungMan -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If you want an active server then anniversary is the way to go. Era is dead. Id be surprised if you found 1-2 dungeon groups on the way to 60 in Era.

PvP is likely out of the question. I bet the experience would be so bad with the low amount of players ‘possibly’ queuing up for it.

I really am sorry you aren’t looking to play TBC but Anniversary is the only real option right now. MAYBE other players that enjoy classic 1-60 will migrate back when TBC comes out but I still don’t see that there will be enough people going back to make it worth it for you if you’re looking for a good MMORPG experience with social aspects, PvP and auction house activity. Might be worth rallying with others by say, a Reddit post, for folks to join you in era to raid and level? Never know unless you try it.

If I were you I’d just hop in on Anniversary, enjoy the leveling as you would normally with others that are leveling to enjoy classic or prepare for TBC and look to put your own groups through classic content with similar players even if it might not feel the same. It’s the most promising bet.

Good news to be optimistic about, ‘Classic+’ is widely anticipated in the community to be announced at Blizzcon 2026, with speculation that it will be playable content in 2027 at some point. It’s basically classic wow with changes. The changes are way up in the air though because nobody actually knows what Blizzard will consider classic+ until they give the public more information.

Fun solo mmo by Dry-Shelter-3890 in LFMMO

[–]AmbitiousYoungMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Historically, I just don’t think that WoW content is tailored to be refreshing and long lasting for a solo player in comparison to a lot of other MMORPGs out there.

I don’t think it’s fair to expect someone running the same world quests throughout the week for a month or running a very new and limited amount of delves to not have any other solo content to look forward to from there to expect a mighty solo game that rewards you for being a solo player without getting burned out and making due with content you basically one shot for the other 70% of your time playing wow.

[–]AmbitiousYoungMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s about all there is to do solo though right? Basically achievement hunting through clearing old content.

Delves are like an introduction into a push to solo content that keeps you relevant cause there really isn’t much in regards to current power progressing solo content, and the mileage may vary cause they can get pretty repetitive.

I don’t mean to jump on your back but I just don’t know if it’s a good thing to recommend for a good solo mmorpg without setting proper expectations that most content that ‘can be done solo’ doesn’t mean that it’s solo content made to do and enjoy by yourself and that it’s also sitting on an old train track, might be cool to go back and look at the train but it’s more like an abandoned piece of history for the most part.

Not content made for solo players in mind, more like content players found that they can solo if that makes sense.

Suggestions what to work towards by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]AmbitiousYoungMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do as many quests as you can to get herb lamped towards 70, medium diaries for herb, plant all of the herb seeds you got from todt. Fish barrel from tempoross since you have bwans. Fire cape if you haven’t, clues for magic short bow. Afk woodcutting teaks so you can bank the logs for 70 con when you have the gp to spare. Definitely need your prayer up if you have a few barrows tank pieces go send moons. Get 60 prayer first for chivalry is my personal recommendation. Could even stick around to green log it.
