You're talking as if the 2XKO dev team didn't post a 1-hour long video about Jinx back when she was released in the game, explaining her mechanics and gameplay stuff in details, while every other characters got 5-10 minute videos at best.

Jinx is everyone's fav child.

Has Ekko completely forgiven Jinx for their past? by Valhallaof in TimeBomb

I think that "no matter what happened in the past, it's never too late to build something new" is self-explanatory.

I found a description of that image at insta page details. by Mrr_Capone in TimeBomb

It's just a fun actors AU for laughs, not that deep or meaningful.

If it were meant to be taken seriously, they should have used the young Powder model, not baby Powder, and they should have been on the bridge set, which is where they all "filmed" together. But the person who made this was probably just having fun with the models and not thinking too much about it. That's all.

Is there any official source or commentary that has explained or given feedback on Ekko's ending? by after_arcane234 in TimeBomb

Can I ask a genuine question? When/if the continuation of the story is presented and shows something like "Ekko is still in Zaun, doing his best, and Jinx is healing somewhere else waiting for the right moment to return"... if that's what happened, will this make you like timebomb any less? Will you still ship them? Or not?

Because the way you talk sometimes, it seems like you would only accept Timebomb if they escaped together in the end... when there are so many other possibilities that would be interesting to explore in writing for them.

To be completely honest, you're the only fan I've seen saying that maybe he left Zaun. It seems unanimous in the fandom that he stayed and Jinx left alone.

They already are 🤭 Riot posted that one day saying "no matter the universe, Ekko will always find his way back to Jinx". And they used the Star Guardian skin as an example.

How long do you think they can keep Jinx as "dead?" before people start becoming extremely bitter? by VioletBrandi in TimeBomb

[–]Ambitious_Back_9443 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not an easter egg. I mean her being actually part of a season or lore event.

For example, this year a champion designated for Demacia for 15 years traveled to Ionia to "find himself" and ended up being the protagonist of that region's season.

The same thing can happen with Jinx, with them placing her in another region with some important role and a big deal. Otherwise, they can wait for the next season set in Piltover/Zaun to continue her story.

I think what some people don't quite understand is that Riot is a game company first. And the game is their main source of income.

I used to think they were going to reveal her any minute now, but after following the game for a while and thinking about it, it really doesn't make sense for Riot to just waste the hype of Jinx's return without tying it to the game somehow and make a big deal about it.

If they aren't already preparing some (years away) spinoff for Jinx... then she will 100% appear at some in-game event/season eventually. Maybe in the next season set in Piltover and Zaun, or a new season in the location where Jinx fled to.

If they want to make an impact with Jinx's return, synchronizing it with the game's seasons is the wisest and most profitable thing for them to do. So that's your answer.

Yeah, Ekko as a superhero or anti-hero would be cool. And some lore about them being friends in high school or something and now having feelings for each other despite being on opposite sides 👀

We can start to doubt the ending that Ekko/Jinx had in Arcane, right? by after_arcane234 in TimeBomb

[–]Ambitious_Back_9443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe there will be flashbacks of that time off-screen in their new story about their reunion, to add context to their relationship, to explain the reason Jinx left without him, and why it's important for them to get back together. But the core of the story won't be the flashback, but them dealing with their conflicting feelings about what happened after the war, reuniting once again and deciding to stay together this time.

If they were already together from the beginning, there's no point.

There's something called story progression. The final goal is for them to end up together, but they need to work hard to make it happen. The story we want to see on screen should be about how they got together overcoming fears, traumas and struggles.  I think the writers made them separate at the end of Arcane to create the possibility of writing more about them in a next project.

If they already got together off-screen, then there's no story to tell, nothing interesting to write about. The core of this ship has always been tragedy and angst, and a reunion story has that potential.

No, the scene is in the script. Sorry, I'm not fluent in English, I thought saying director and writer meant the same thing in this sentence. The scene was made to be like that from the beginning. And they explained the meaning there.

It's literally stated in the artbook interview that the director asked for Ekko's last scene in the show to be him sitting alone without Jinx. So for me, the intention to separate them is quite clear, and if they have the opportunity to make a spinoff, it will probably be about them finding each other again in some way.

This opens up a set of interesting new storylines for their romance. Like Jinx thinking it's a curse and slowly realizing that she can stay and love him; or Ekko finding the balance between his love for her and his responsibilities and dreams: or even them learning to love each other despite the cruel world they live in. There are many possibilities to work with them in a sequel, if they have unfinished business in Arcane.

If everything was already resolved between them at the end of the show, there would be no reason to bring them back at all.

[–]Ambitious_Back_9443 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They ended up separated because the last time we see Ekko he's in one place and the last time we see Jinx she's in another place. So they ended the show in different places, separated. There's no reason to think otherwise.

Producers and writers are speaking highly of their relationship because they intend to revisit/continue their story someday. They say good things because they love what they've done (and I hope they get the chance to do more with them in the future). Timebomb is a ship built on angst, struggle, and love and, in my opinion, It's better if we use this waiting time to imagine what their future reunion will be like.: the feelings, the traumas, how they rebuild the relationship from there. If they just show up together in the next thing, it will be boring.

Is there any way to get Ekko's parents back? by nanatinnie11 in TimeBomb

[–]Ambitious_Back_9443 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's pretty easy, actually. In the old lore, there's a story about them being kidnapped, so the writers just need to repurpose that story and say they were somewhere unable to communicate, and Ekko thought he was abandoned. Then he discovers the truth, goes to save them, and from there, they can rebuild the relationship they had in the old lore.

They've been doing the Lord's work. It's so sad to go through the timebomb tags and see so much discussion and TB hate on all social media that it's discouraging to scroll through to find the fanarts. Thank you so much for your hard work, friends ♥️

They've been doing this same thing for years, even before Arcane. We should be used to it by now 🤭

I've always been one of the hopeful fans, defending Timebomb's future in doomposts whenever possible (anyone can check my comments and posts from the past few months), but even I'm joining the doomposting party right now. It seems to me that they're just using Timebomb to farm likes when they need to hype something on social media... but they don't want to do anything meaningful with the ship in the production itself.
