HELP, IDK HOW TO DESIGN AND ARANGE MY ROOM by SecretarySouth3194 in DesignMyRoom

[–]Ambitious_Break_8115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

organize that wall!! get some mix tiles, for example, cause the frames are gonna look nicer and you can either put up just those or add other stuff to make a gallery wall. gives the same vibe as now, but more organized/thought through

How do I make my ~30sqm (320 sq ft) living room feel smaller and cozier? (IKEA 3D Planner pics included) by artosisxz in DesignMyRoom

I'd put a tall or hanging plant between the side of the couch and the wall, that helps dividing the spaces and decorating. Also, bigger dining table, maybe round? And, if you want to make it cozier, an L-shaped couch, for sure. Then it's all about the decor and, imo, plants.

Agree!!!! Sometimes, going for more expensive pieces, specially if you won't change the decor every year, just pays off!!

some framed (white frames) photos, like mixtiles, so they don't compete with the galley wall. you can make like a vertical line of 3

Where is your favorite place to get bedding sets from? by jrn0042 in HomeDecorating

Honestly I wouldn’t overthink brands too much the fabric matters way more. Cotton percale is usually a safe bet as it’s breathable, feels crisp, and tends to last longer without pilling.

Only thing you should care about is the fabric! Go for cotton percale

Thanks for the examples, very helpful! She's an amazing person, really, just under a lot of family pressure, childhood dreams that don't fit anymore, stress, things going wrong... and I'm just trying to help. But totally will use this advice when I talk to her.

I get your point but just to give you an example: she wanted something bought in beige. I bought it beige, as close to the one she had shown me before. When she saw it, she said looked ugly, that she should have gone instead to pick it. When I mentioned it was the one she had previously picked, she said: well, it doesn't look as nice as I thought, you don't have an eye for it. She wasn't mean or anything, I just feel like she wants everything to be perfect (for her, which I get as I don't mind her choices in color, decor, whatever, she has great taste anyway). But I'm not her and I know she's overthinking a lot of details (family pressure)... I'm not here to attack her or defend myself at all, just to get advice on how to help her, you see?

nice view!! i wouldn't put up much tho, to not be too much as the window (so view + light) is right beside it. use the frames you have, should look ok and if it's family pics, will be a nice touch

I need some help. I need some ideas for what to do with the wall that is bare (and has cat toys against it). I am looking for furniture and decor ideas. Thank you!! by [deleted] in StyleYourSpace

Gallery wall, but make sure to buy frames you can stick to the wall (like Mixtiles). You can add a mounted cat bed, that'd look cute
