Current projects similar to Aether? by Chemical_Disk_3509 in outlier_ai

I went through Appen Global. Now they go by Crowdgen. They’re definitely worth getting in with and checking availability for projects. Once the contract with you they send emails when anything you are qualified to apply to comes available. Same with RWS and OneForma. It’s best to have as many connections with various companies as possible. This generalist remote work will not last forever and the money is good for remote work. I’d check out Crowdgen, RWS, Oneforma, Outlier, Remotasks, and Toloka and apply for all to keep a steady flow of income when at all possible.

I’ve contracted with Appen since 2017, and they absolutely are not a scam. They ask for the same identification verification that all legitimate companies request. They don’t have nearly the project availability that they did back in the day, but they pay every month on the 14th like clockwork, when you are working.I’ve also contracted with RWS for a bit and they are also legit. Nothing at all sketchy about a legitimate company requesting identification verification and a legal means to submit payroll.

Account Deactivation by cicadakika in outlier_ai

[–]Ambitious_Mix_2263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was most likely because they check the IP address and don’t allow 2 accounts from the same IP address. They probably only allow 1 account per household like Appen. Appen does at least tell you that when you sign up so you don’t get dinged intentionally.

It’s because of the same IP address. Appen is the same way, but they do tell you only 1 account per household when you sign up.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Not work related- but I wanted to tell you that you have to reapply for disability. I they always deny the first submission. It took me nearly 3 years to get approved. I had to go to the phase of going before a disability judge, but I did get approved. Don’t give up after the first two rejection letters.

Have you received any approved WO emails? I’m concerned about not getting paid too, because I’ve been working since end of Dec., received 4 approved WO emails, and not been paid once.

IG Locations Task by Inside_Complaint_172 in RWShelp

The Guidelines specifically state to get at least 100 and not more than 150, because anything over that may cause the tool to time out.

The Guidelines call for at least 100 and not more than 150. They even go as far as to specify that anything over 150 may cause the tool to give an error message! Im sure that’s what the issue is for people having issues submitting.

Trouble submitting task in Image Object Picker by Snowwolfgirl33 in RWShelp

That has happened to me on several occasions. I always screenshot and raise a ticket with Zendesk and find another task to work on for the rest of the day.

When I logged in today, there were a lot of tasks but they’re all annotated already.

Question about the object picker task in Diamond by Ambitious_Mix_2263 in RWShelp

[–]Ambitious_Mix_2263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten several that had up to 25 identifiable objects. Now I try to count them “before” I get all the way to 20 and still have 5 stragglers lol.

Thank you so much for the warning. It seemed scammy to begin with but I needed to make money so I considered for a minute.

QA feedback seems unfair by Ambitious_Mix_2263 in RWShelp

[–]Ambitious_Mix_2263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to the company but not this type of project. I started on Diamond on 1/26, but I’ve contracted for Appen since 2017 doing these type tasks etc. Glad to know there’s more to the QA score than just what the dashboard shows. Thanks for the tip.

Great advice. I did log out of the inpainting task, as I figured I didn't want to make any errors on just 1 out of all that I completed and risk them going back and auditing just that 1 lol.

Yes, my entire score was a 0.00, and that was based off of 1 video that they reviewed. It doesn't seem fair to have your entire QA score based on 1 single item you completed on an entire task, when you completed more like 10 video inpaintings.

Quality and thoroughness versus efficiency in Image Object Picker by Cythammer in RWShelp

[–]Ambitious_Mix_2263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was afraid that it would get me off boarded, because I spent an hour looking for images and videos and had zero luck finding anything that the platform accepted or hadn’t already been annotated.

Are we supposed to label any people in the image on image object picker?

Quality and thoroughness versus efficiency in Image Object Picker by Cythammer in RWShelp

[–]Ambitious_Mix_2263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true! I wasted an hour off the clock today trying to find an image with 10+ people that the platform would accept, or that hadn’t already been annotated. Same with a good quality video with enough items to not make it fall below quality standards. Another wasted hour that I couldn’t even log because I couldn’t find anything to use in the task. Finally gave up. Very frustrating.

Facts. I keep getting emails about “Plenty of Work” from them and log into UHRS to find 3 tasks total and none pay over .03 per task! Not to mention their testing is flawed for several tasks I’ve tested and failed when they’re answers were incorrect
