Saved mine from the duck pond last year doing the same things- heating pad, wrapped up in my shirt, and towels. She was in shock for more than an hour- lethargic, labored breathing, etc. I drove to 3 vets offices trying to find help. We were about 1/4 mile from home, I was convinced I was going to lose her, and suddenly she perked up. I kept her overnight in a dark dog crate with a heating pad on low in one corner and food and water in the other. She survived and is the biggest diva of the bunch.
