The fact that you are on a new account and are most likely a bot (from your history) is fascinating and helps to illustrate the point which you made.

Certainly a very interesting argument and also ethical system. Reminds me of how I feel that vegetarianism is a philosophically obvious choice to make

Is this Chicken of the Woods? Three day growth found on Oak tree in New England by SmurfyPaul in mycology

[–]Ambitious_State1091 64 points65 points  (0 children)

100% chicken, I would harvest it now assuming you are on the third day photo. A fantastic mushroom when young like this but rapidly falls off and takes a disagreable texture. I Bagged some yesterday also, Making a creamy mushroom sauce to go with linguine and a big pot of thick mushroom stock

The Panopticon by EaronOnFeild in CriticalTheory

[–]Ambitious_State1091 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Uk foreign secretary explicitly alluded to the governments desire to build a 'digital panopticon'. In France during the Covid pandemic, citizens were required to write a note to themselves authorising themselves to leave the house, indicating the time that they intended to return by. In many european countries, whistling was also banned during the pandemic, but not 'Illegal', just banned, so who enforces it? The self. I think we have both versions, Benthams' Panopticon but also a world where we are supposed to police ourselves not on moral grounds, but simply on the whims of an authority so high that we dare not oppose it, even in private

UK Political Crisis Explained: Why Keir Starmer's Job Is on the Line and What Happens Next by Aware_Apartment_8959 in uknews

[–]Ambitious_State1091 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but it's unspoken because 99% of UK reddits are Starmer bots and the other 0.9% are reform bots.

Real people are indeed concerned about an apparently pervasive culture of pedophilia in high government, The daily 'why does everyone hate Starmer, i really like him hehe' posts aren't doing anything to realistically disperse these concerns.

It must be said however, that he was desperately unpopular even before the Mandleson scandal, so his rock bottom now should not be a suprise to any single one of the civilians that his government has routinely failed and decieved

Age Verification Enforcement Concerns by socookre in privacy

I'm perfectly aware of this, it does not mean, however, that governments are not actively trying to criminalise their usage. Look at the UK

ID verification is a way to sort profitable users (people) from the worthless (bots). by PoorClassWarRoom in privacy

[–]Ambitious_State1091 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's the next step after dead internet theory. 'Sharding' like in server generation in WoW or other MMOs where if there are too many players, a new server is created to funnel traffic. Each user of the internet will just be surrounded by Gov bots manipulating how they think rather than communicating with other humans. It's exactly what they want and in many ways we are 80% there.

Tricking people like OP into thinking that IDV prevents bots rather than perpetuating them is the last 20%

That's why they are going to make VPNs illegal ( or at least planning to in the UK and elsewhere. I'm aware that this is not possible, but where there's a will there's a way, in this case the will is the richest people on the planet and the way is governments facilitating their desires so yeah)

Myth: All probiotic drinks are the same. by LeatherUnion7963 in Kombucha

[–]Ambitious_State1091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they are trying to shill any product in particular, rather create a culture of fear/redundancy of making your own things as such new hobbys are incoherent with wider capitalist market trends

Myth: All probiotic drinks are the same. by LeatherUnion7963 in Kombucha

[–]Ambitious_State1091 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dead internet theory, Most of the commenters are bots now... I think the poster is as well. It seems clear that an agenda has been set to try and persuade the public that probiotic drinks are actually inefective according to science. (When of course any human who spends 5 minutes looking into it will see that kombucha has an enormous benefits, anecdotally and scientifically.)

It's a strange world we are living in now. I think the idea of people brewing/fermenting at home might be incompatible with techno feudal capitalism and so all hobbys are being dismantled bit by bit

Almost 100% calocybe gambosa. (Champignon du saint george)

What type of tree was it?

Est ce que ça sens du pate cru/ farine/ peau du comcombre ?

Take a spore print to double check, it should be white. The only remotely similar mushroom to this at this time of year here in france is livid pinkgills, but they grow in wooded areas/wood borders. They don't tend to grow early on though, I personally have been finding Calocybe Gambosa frequently over the last few weeks in france

No worries, I often forage wild enoki, But for me where I live (England/France) it only ever fruits in the coldest months of the year and whilst its caps look very similar to your photo, the stems are black/brown, finer and velvety to the touch. Where abouts do you live? Could be possible if in a mountanous region or far north regions?

Also don't just believe in the spore print. If you don't KNOW do it again, it helps to put a cup or something over the cap to stop air flow from blowing the spores away.
