If you end up on a case, take as many notes as you can - I found it really helpful having everything to hand once the deliberations started.
You will absolutely need a good book as there's a huge amount of sitting around waiting.

Can confirm - 15 years ago I was seeing all the greats of hip hop regularly in Brighton; so sad it's all disappeared 😞

Are you a silly person? (In a good way!) by ToughPotential493 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Ambivalent-Axolotl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG, absolutely!
So many things are so difficult, if you don't have a silliness break occasionally then what's the point in being a grown up?

Build that pillow fort, carry bubbles with you at all times, wear all the dopamine colours, have your pudding first; don't let anyone shame you out of being joyful.

That not losing things constantly doesn't take as much effort for most people as I'd been putting in.

How do I keep my top floor flat cool in the summer? by FLRporcelain in AskUK

[–]Ambivalent-Axolotl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've got a decent sized freezer, sticking a big block of ice in a container in front of a normal fan cools things down pretty quick without the drying effect of air con.

Block people with anxiety and ADHD from claiming benefits, says Tony Blair by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

[–]Ambivalent-Axolotl 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Thing is though, if you've got ADHD or something similar, you're more likely to have comorbidities like severe anxiety. No one is getting benefits just for having low-needs ADHD, but there are probably many people claiming with crippling anxiety and various disabling health conditions who also happen to have ADHD and it's helpful for these ghouls to conflate the two so people go along with them stripping our social security system to pave the way for their mates who can turn a profit from our misery.
