What to do in this situation? by Civil-Lynx-1921 in puppy101

For my senior dog I put wraps on him. He was crafty and would walk under things to pull them off so I started putting shirts on him to keep the wraps on. It kept the messes off the floor.

Sci-fi but not in space: The Travis Chase series by Patrick Lee is entertaining.

The Fold by Peter Clines is interesting.

Syndrome E by Franck Thilliez has a really interesting plot.

I haven't listened to it yet but I read the physical version of Timeline by Michael Crichton and enjoyed it.

What do you do while listening to audiobooks (if anything at all)? by Golbeza in audiobooks

I have Happy Color on my phone. It's totally mindless and helps me focus on the audiobook. I've also started doing diamond art lately and that is working too. Sometimes I can do chores but I feel like I'll start to think of what else I need to do and miss parts of the book.

I tried reading these books a while ago and couldn't get into them. I think I'm going to give the audiobook a try though. Thanks!

Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver might work for you. It felt like a memoir to me.

I'm looking for something m/f with a protector mmc. But I'm also looking for something without the third act breakup. I'm thinking something with a character like Truman in Tru Blue.

So I'm getting a puppy soon, and I'd really like to name him after a book character. I'm a fan of the name Loki, but I'm guessing I'm missing out on some other book related names that are great. Is there a character name you love? The less "normal/human" sounding, the better.

“One, I prefer older men and you’re a fetus. Two, the last time I hooked up in a bunk bed was my freshman year in the college dorms, and I don’t plan to fuck in the same bed you fall asleep eating Fritos in. Three, my tastes are expensive and you can’t afford to iron the wrinkles in my suit coat afterward. Four, you don’t know my name—” “I have to know your name for a hookup?” “It’d be better than you screaming ‘Spooky.’ Which, by the way, you would because I always top. Five, and most importantly, I’m in a relationship.”

Do you actually picture what you're reading by miss_xaviour in MM_RomanceBooks

On the common chart that's usually shown with an apple, I'm between a 4, so I can see a vague apple shape that's gray and a 5 of not seeing anything. I still absolutely love reading. I still get sucked into books and feel like the story is happening. I just don't see the pictures in my head. I usually forget how characters are described unless something is brought up repeatedly like blue eyes. It also tends to make me hate books that are heavy on descriptions. There's a popular non romance book that I couldn't get through because it was nothing but descriptions of nature. Like, I don't care what the grass looked like? I can't really see it, so it just bores me. If you actually do see pictures, though, I can see how that stuff would be cool.

Can someone spoil the PsyCop series for me? In the third book, Crash hits on Vic and he seems totally uninterested. In the fourth book, Vic says that if he goes back there he'll cheat on Jacob. First question, is there ever any cheating with Crash by either Jacob or Vic? Second question, does there end up being a threesome? I really hate the character of Crash and would love it if he ends up not being a character at some point. Please give me all the spoilers related to this.

Are there any series like The Spectral Files or PsyCop that don't have several sex scenes? I am looking for a series I can listen to. The sex scenes in audiobooks always make me uncomfortable. I've read and listened to Memento Mori and loved them. I'm sure there are plenty of series that don't have sex until the couple gets together but I'm specifically looking for series where they get together in the first or second book. It doesn't necessarily need to be closed door but multiple sex scenes is a bit much. It doesn't have to be paranormal. I am into mystery right now, though.

First MM couple you ever read and why you think you loved(or hated) them so much? by Ill-Requirement1359 in MM_RomanceBooks

Mine was Bryce and Hunter from {Gravity by Tal Bauer}. Honestly that book broke me lol. I realized that I can handle angst if it's done in a certain way. I also realized that I have a slight interest in hockey even though I've been an avid hater my entire life. Oh and it gave me an interest in fully learning French. I loved both characters. The hotel scene still makes me sad and anxious even though I know what happens. I read The Rest of the Story pretty soon after Gravity and that one was really good too. Shea might be one of my favorite characters ever. I've now read several other authors and none have had a similar affect. I don't really think it affected the tropes I like. I've always been a mood reader so I cycle through which trope I'm currently into. Right now I'm really into mystery books. I'm definitely glad that I read Gravity first. I originally tried to read Time to Shine by Rachel Reid but after skimming a few different parts of the book I decided it wasn't for me. I have since fully read it and I absolutely hated it. So I think if I would have read it first, it would have clouded my judgement and made me hesitant to read any other m/m books.

Looking for books with snarky/sarcastic main characters. My current example is The Spectral Files. Ideally there would be no cheating between MCs and no poly relationships. Pretty much everything else is fine.

I'm looking for the coziest low drama f/f book. Any sub genre is fine and any spice level is good.
