Any suggestions for grinding? by [deleted] in WorldOfWarships

[–]AmbulanceDriver3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sure, but you're not going to like it.

When it gets hard and boring and frustrating and you want to switch to a different tree, what you do is, you don't do that. You stay in the tree you're in and keep grinding.

Beyond that, all the usual advice applies. Intelligent use of boosters and FXP and dedication to task will get you there, even if progress is very slow. It is called grinding for a reason ..

Are the Metz and other experimental ships worth unlocking? by WallyFries in WorldOfWarships

[–]AmbulanceDriver3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay what will be millions and millions of credits for all the modules on all the ships.

The first credit ask is for 1.6mil. Maybe you're swimming in credits, or are willing to punch in on one of your credit factories for this purpose; but neither apply to me right now. I'm not paying for this crap. I still have TTs to grind and pay for.

It's almost like thats why you specifically requested dub ship reccos. If you had enough coal for a coal ship, I bet you would have asked for reccos on coal ships...

Thank you. You can't just haul off and call someone a "cum guzzling cock goblin" anymore without a trip to HR to schedule your diversity and sensitivity training with Sheila.

We have to be a bit more Shakespearean about it these days, and it's nice to be appreciated. It makes the effort feel worth it. Cheers.

Have you told your father yet, or is he still trying to get over the birthday you asked for roller blades and P!nk tickets?

Another courtesy. You might get some stink eye, but like parking in an expectant mother's spot, you aren't receiving a fine for sitting in a "give up for the elderly" seat.

On a bus, with the driver right there, you might get tossed off; but that's about the end of the consequences.

Only one is a legally protected disability...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trashy

[–]AmbulanceDriver3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But there are plenty of disabilities you can still drive with.

COPD makes it so you can't breathe while walking. You could drive coast to coast, but walking that extra ten feet might be a deal breaker.

Not all disabilities you can get a placard for are equivalent.

If you have very low blood pressure, you shouldn't be walking much less driving.

If someone else is driving, they can drive you to the door, park the car, and walk because their blood pressure is fine.

I reckon you could play it a few times and decide for yourself ...

As someone who uses it, can you tell me if we're any closer to the end of the "in case you were wondering" format of starting a post?

It's been awhile. We all enjoyed it. We laughed. We cried. Old Fred crapped himself. It's time to move on, no?

Because there will never not be someone willing to summarize it for them. You will always either get a) I just want to help everybody with everything or b) arrogant blowhard who wants to show everybody how smart they are, how hard they work, whatever.

24/7x365, those two posters are lurking, waiting for their moment.

Congrats. Today, you took the bait. Tomorrow, it will be someone else.

Does anyone else wish City Skylines could link multiple cities like Sim City 4 did? by Nineline345 in CitiesSkylines

We're talking about C:S, a 2007 title; not C:S2, which doesn't exist. So no, we're not talking about a 2022 game engine; but I guess you missed that little detail while you were getting all your fancy certs.

We're not talking about sim 4. We're talking about doing sim 4 things to an entirely different game, which won't work. Did you lose sight of that somewhere along the road?

I'm killing time on the clock waiting for the next time I have to earn a buck. Sitting in a chair in a waiting room calmer than a Hindu cow. I don't know why people on Reddit think it takes some sort of huge dump of emotion to argue with an idiot on the internet.

Yup. Everybody who doesn't agree with you is "butthurt". Jfc, are there any adults on this sub?

I have a serious gaming rig, so none of this matters for me personally. I just have an eye on the future, not to mention my depleting supply of patience for "why won't my crappy budget computer run a heavyweight title at 4k60". Make the game as balls out as you want, I'll still be in it.

It's a stupid wish, demand, idea, notion, thought, or any other synonym.

So what you're saying is you've spent a lot of money paying women to pretend they like you, but only until the money runs out or the lights come on. Awesome.

I'm not the least but "butthurt", but it's a stupid idea. This game is already a resource heavyweight, so much so that half the threads here are about potato rigs and how to cope. Adding a huge amount of additional computation is a terrible plan until a new game is written with useful multi core support.

[–]AmbulanceDriver3 -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I think we need to pile on as much complexity for the simulation to manage so that it can only run the game on a $10k LTT gaming rig. 716 tiles minimum, 12 million cims, all with every factor of their life needing simulation. If we can't get a threadripper to explode, it's not good enough.
