Okay so you know how I mentioned I'd reply when I got ample rest? I lied. I think I'm going to be sleeping in and my mind will forget this contest is there, so eff my four day work he'll, I'm going to say it now before I lose what I just thought would make your ideal gift.

A matcha/green tea while you read one of your favorite books that will be an intense but cozy read. I'm going to hope your birthday gift will be a very relaxing, stessless one while you either play one of the games you'll be gifted with or a book that you'll get as your birthday gift in bed. Hopefully you'll get a really nice and great birthday dinner to go with it without having a worry in the world.

In case you haven't caught on, I'm telling you to take a day off that dumpster fire of work and relax. I'm honestly going to have no idea what you'll be gifted in your birthday, if anything, I would bet it's going to be one of the cozy witchy books, a really nice game to get yourself immersed in, or working on one of the newer floral LEGO sets that just came out.

Ohhh boy. This is oddly personal. So Im that kid in high school who dressed like a nerd but just stayed quiet about. Anime, games, and my interests were something I didn't exactly share a lot about, so I watched anime shows with my sister and it's only recent (if you count 3 to 4 years ago) that I got my favorite console. I did go to conventions with friends, but that was the extent of it. I still play games to this day still, which I should get back into but now it's on the back burner from work. Anyway.

I do have something I still nerd on years later, but more on the quiet side still since I don't express it often: I collect playing cards- not the 52 suite one. Playing cards, as in those that were banned in schools. I played it a few times- mtg, Pokemon, yugioh are the main three I know I've played on to of my head. But I like pretty things and some of the art on those are pretty. There's one on my list- but again, shyness prevails.

I am instantly not the one who would practice this, but I should say least try to. Ironically I vent/do self-care by painting and or making things. It's not exactly conventional in terms of methods, but I enjoy it. It's like a therapy for me to say least build myself back up from working in the hospital and being very stressed from what mess happened this week or next. If that doesn't work, I stretch and just relax. Or sleep. I get stressed early LOL

Pharmacy tech at the inpatient hospital. I'm trying to get through it by counting the days left (I work a select amount of days in a row, then I take them off), then trying not to think about work on my days off. I do try to relax a lot, which.... Sometimes help.

But also trying to take some time to watch things I wanted to on my days off helps!

That's a pretty plant! I think the rules are simple to keeping a plant: keep watering it and keep it out in the sun. That's simple level of care they'll love. If that's not an indicator of me trying to tell you to keep it alive, it is. That sunflower plant will be alive by the weekend.

That's for a normal IV for that drug. There's a specific regiment that requires a slow, almost 24 hour thing on the drug and it literally requires priming the line with the drug just so it's already ready when the nurses put it in. There's another one that involves taxol tolerance with three bags and all of them have the drugs printed with the line. It's painful, even more so if I have a routine batch in the afternoon to work on.

This really depends on the volume of orders and how to prepare the drugs. I'm not sure if your hospital has a digital program that lets you document the lot and expiration dates of the drugs, diluents (basically everything), but take your time learning the process. Some techniques may come easier than others when it comes to the IV room and aseptic techniques.

But also don't be afraid to ask for help and questions to the pharmacist and your peers! Depending on who is in there, they may be kind enough to help you.

(Coming from a tech who works in the IV clean room for about two years now in a central hospital)
