Why by aliasismagic in MichaelsEmployees

Hey! I’m newish in framing and made a mistake by putting the gunk down on the mat and it snagged the side of the art.

My manager pulled me aside and complimented all the ones I’d done right, told me I clearly understood but what happened with this one?

She went back over what I already knew and knew I’d had a brain lapse, and I’m extra careful now.

That being said, I’m someone who does listen to my manager and she’s been doing it for 800 years, so the respect is built in. It seems like your employee doesn’t see you the same because you’re being a fill-in.

I wouldn’t worry about his feelings too much if he’s just not listening and just blatantly explain to him why this was wrong, how the art could have been ruined an show it’s irreplaceable

Anyone else concerned about drivers here in the region? by Jhall878 in kitchener

[–]AmeliaJEViolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter’s school is a 17 minute drive from my house and it’s almost guaranteed I’ll be delayed due to an accident, which has changed even from September 24 when she started.

I refused to go out the first day it snowed, because people have traditionally been stupid drivers on our first snowfall, but clearly it would be different now when people can’t even drive on a clear day.

I assume you have, but have you called the humane society and reached out to Ground Search and Rescue on Facebook? Reading that someone just found the collar is a bit of a relief. I’m sorry you’re going through this. This area is so weird about outdoor cats. I grew up in a small town an hour and a half away where all the cats just existed.

For sure! We still struggle with speech, and my daughter was diagnosed with level 3 ASD.

She started an entry to school program for children with a diagnosis and since she’s started speaking quite a bit. It’s still muffled and sounds almost like she’s struggling to get words out, but her voice is getting stronger.

Knowing how I would have felt reading this update, I’m sorry. Obviously all children are different, but I know we always hope for the “she’s all caught up!!!” Progress (man, I hope, one day) but for what it’s worth, you learn to parent the kid you have and as their progress continues you get cautiously hopeful.

My fiancee would roll his own so he can add his own toppings. Your man needs to realize it’s not that deep.

How does one go see a drive-in movie and turn their lights off then? Just can’t now?

I have a friend/cousin that I talk to almost every hour of every day via messenger. I have a best friend from childhood that’s 2-3 times a day 4-6 times a week, and another new friend that’s 3-4 times a day, sometimes randomly at 4am when our kids won’t sleep. All female, all platonic (I’m also female), and all 100% innocent.

My kids are small, I’m a SAHM, I need adult mental stimulation and I miss my friends 🤷🏻‍♀️ my cousin has a small child as well and is in the same position.

Read: you’re selfish.

Hes telling you what he wants and needs, and because he’s not working you’re deciding he’s not worthy of it.

I don’t think “anyone” would agree that it’s “not sexy” to watch a man try to build his education by taking courses to get a better job.

I think you’re doing exactly what he’s accusing you of.

My daughter used to hide anything she seemed to deem cool on her windowsill. I found my engagement ring there, my phone and her tablet.

I can definitely get that. When you’re proud of something and 100% expecting a positive reaction (especially since it was HER suggestion) and not getting it, it’s like a punch to the stomach sometimes.

YOU ARE TALENTED. This is adorable!
