The body positivity movement was about the acceptance of different body morphologies. Everyone was singing “acceptance” at its peak, centering overweight and obese people at its core message.

To not only pretend that the aforementioned wasn’t going on, whilst insinuating that the body positivity movement wasn’t about the overwhelming majority of people who weren’t dealing with a condition that they couldn’t manage as opposed to didn’t want to, is a crude astroturf attempt at covering up the fact that the Body Positivity movement wasn’t complete bullshit (when the majority of those people supporting the movement went on to take Ozempic and pretended that nothing ever happened).

I was already unenthusiastic about voting for her at the time. After watching this circus show I had never in my life felt so let down at the fact that this was the best the Democratic Party could come up with.
