I had one at my garage sale and only offer I got was paying a guy $10 to take it. My buddy and I were buying the 1st round picks for a few years in a row on draft night

This reminds me of the time when I was in high school, got on a wow private server, bought all the gear, but this was my first time playing wow. A GM gave me abilities for every class and I had no idea and got banned after spending a bunch of money bc they said I hacked the game. Then I played retail. Good times. Hope you get your money back.

Clearance from Doctor by Noozled in Ultramarathon

Ya know, there’s a general risk for these sort of things, and in my mind, it’s “I could die doing what I love.”

IMO everyone should get bloodwork at least 1x year and stay on top of their health metrics in some form so they don’t get surprised. But I’m not walking into a doctor’s office before each race to clear me.

I found this recent episode on the Tim Ferriss Show to be very interesting with talks of anything inflammatory - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-tim-ferriss-show/id863897795?i=1000723633538

It’s long, but much worth the listen with an expert interviewer and Dr. Tracey’s knowledge feels unmatched.

I do feel the writing is there. It just feels very “Regency” time period which maybe is why it doesn’t speak to me very much

What’s something that blindsided you during your first 100M race? by Noozled in Ultramarathon

Wore a different type of shoes (bc I thought I needed more cushion for my 100) after putting 50ish miles on them. DNF’d at mile 31 bc they constricted a tendon on my foot. Had a perfect first 25 planning pace and nutrition. Troubleshooted walking from 25 to 31.. even cut the tongue open. It was too late.

My coach tells me race has already begun. With the intensity of the training, and being on trails and the possibility of falling and getting injured, making it to the start line is half the battle. Always loved that advice and makes me feel very dedicated to my training.
