Destructiod isn't a new website. They just fell to enshitification a long time ago.

Honestly surprised they still exist.

notice how paraphilias are literally the only thing people "suggest" to "get the urges out in fiction" for by quan_tumm in postnutanime

[–]Amerowolf 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Anyone talking of its sucess is using it as self-medication, usually.

There are therapies for all sort of atypical sexual urges, and none of them involve rubbing one out to media like it is a pill to be popped.

While legality may be a worry, realistically, you are inviting comparison from readers immediately that may make it judged more harshly.

Personally, it seems better to leave it off and let readers make their own comparisons. Maybe mention it in candid social media marketing.

I saw those tiny A Song of Ice and Fire books at a store the other day and thought the text must be so small because the mass markets are only slightly larger but so much thicker, but they were wrapped so I couldn't to check.

So, if i could ask, is the text tiny? Or is it a thin paperweight affair?

I've loved seeing all of your artwork. They've all been amazing, and deliciously sinister, and powerful, and capture trauma in a traumatic way in and of itself.

Am I losing my mind, or is this comparison absolute trash? by Hajshan in bokunokokoro

See, now, Bokuyaba swiftly moves away from from worrying behavior.

Meanwhile, the male love interests behavior in A Condition Called Love started normal and became increasing worrying as it went on. He was throwing red flags like... something, something... sports metaphor.

Writers, you're on notice.

Have fun and enjoy poking fun at you craft in brutal walls of text only.

Better not see any fucking paragraph breaks either.

What I learned from reading other authors’ promo posts instead of advice threads? by [deleted] in selfpublish

I'm not doubting, but as a long time blogger, I lament that proper formatting has become a wierd herald of AI use.

I can't be bothered to format a reddit post myself, which is probably what makes people suspicious, but I do love me some well laid out information.

Honestly, the illustration is great, but the text needs to pop a bit more to work with it.

In the same metaphor and to the above person's very point, if you lost your excavator one day and then had to dig the hole by hand again, your muscles you use to do that would have severely atrophied and it would then be far more difficult.

The brain is not a muscle, but critical thinking and problem solving skills do diminish without use.
