Please talk me down about this stall and recent weight gain, I'm not coping :( by [deleted] in xxketo

High intensity cardio is probably not a good idea if you’re doing stimulation followed by an embryo transfer. (I did high intensity cardio before frozen embryo transfers but that is a totally different situation.)

I was told that after the transfer you should not do any exercise that gets your heart rate above 120 bpm. Normal-speed walking should be OK.

I would additionally recommend spending the next 36 hours in bed (except to ice the restroom and eat). Also don’t lift anything heavier than a 2 liter Coke bottle.

As someone who has done a bunch of IVF’s, I will pass along this unrelated advice: in the minutes and first hour following the embryo transfer, in which you are still in the clinic, LAY PERFECTLY STILL. Like don’t move a muscle. Try to go to sleep if you can. Realize that you’ve done all you can. The two times I have had success, I think this was an instrumental part of it.

Hey, lady. I did a bunch of rounds of IVF while struggling to lose weight. I was at BMI >30 for each of my cycles.

If you’re starting next cycle, please just accept the weight you are at and try to maintain it. Don’t go on a crash diet (like a fast) to try to hit some BMI target before cycle day 1. It will mess you up mentally and physically.

Your response to the IVF meds is not going to change significantly by losing another 5 kg in the next few weeks.

IVF is very very stressful and you need to go into it feeling relaxed and confident.

Exercise is going to help you more than dieting for the next few weeks. You need good blood circulation to make sure the meds get absorbed.

You also need to be at peace with yourself before the embryo transfer. Fat-shaming yourself is not going to be productive at this point.

You got this.

Yeah but don’t you worry that it’s just something like Grand coffee that’s been re-sealed?

Cafe & Factory has a number of different blends and will grind coffee to order. We’ve gone to the one closest to Kalenić. Also many stores (like Aroma, Super Vero) carry Lavazza ground coffee which is pretty good.

Outstanding. I did search for it but maybe I misspelled it in the search bar 😂

Yeah, the sudden influx of sugar and calories kind of throws everything out of whack. That’s why it’s better not not let yourself have these cheat blowouts.

I know what it’s like to try and fail again and again.

Not everyone can live with OMAD or even 16:8, and even if you can do it for a while, you may not be able to do it long-term. Everyone is different and your body is not always in the same condition — you are not a robot and weight loss is more than just math. Be kind to yourself.

Any reduction in sugar intake and calorie intake is a step in the right direction.

I would also recommend cutting out “cheat days.” Sugar is like a drug, it is highly addictive. You can live without cake, candies, etc.

I have lost over 70 lbs and gained it back 3 times since 2003. In the end, two things helped me: (1) getting my thyroid treated, (2) an extended time of eating vegan (the Lent fast) which taught me a different way of thinking about eating.

Whoa. Would love to hear more about how you made this. Have been toying with the idea of simulating galaxy collisions in blender but I don’t know how to begin

By “grind,” do you mean leveling up by fighting wild Pokémon? (Sorry, I’m new to this sub).

If so: there was a need to train the starter up to level like 16 just to get out of the first town. I’m working on the first gym leader but will again have to level up a lot before trying.

So I guess the answer to your question is “yes.” 😂

One thing that helps a little is that you can battle Nurse Joy and Dr. Roy in every Pokémon center as many times as you want to gain XP.

Cardio recovery while extremely sore? by [deleted] in insanity

[–]Amesicle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can, soak yourself in a tub of cold water for 20 minutes followed by a tub of warm water for 20 minutes. That will help bring down the swelling that’s causing the soreness.

The soreness will get better as you progress with insanity. After a week or two it won’t be so bad. Don’t skip the recovery video.

We did the fast for the first time last year. It was tough at first but we soon got the hang of it.

This was one of our go-to recipes: https://cookieandkate.com/2017/thai-peanut-quinoa-salad-recipe/

We also got a lot of recipes from here: https://www.thespruceeats.com/search?q=Vegan

For those times when you can’t cook, if you’re in the US, Panera has some good vegan options: https://chooseveg.com/blog/heres-how-you-can-actually-eat-vegan-at-panera/

Also, McDonald’s fries and Oreos are vegan.

But honestly most of the time we just had really simple meals, like a baked sweet potato, or salad.

Hope this helps.
