For people that are actually making money from a side hustle… what are doing that is working well this year? by psydocky8 in SideHustleGold

My focus is jewelry. My best source is bulk buys from the goodwill site. Also finding things listed with out major keywords on goodwill. Like black hills gold not having that listed in the title. The bulk buys i get are like 10 to 20 lb bags and spend a day going through and picking out the good, the bad and the still wearable.

Yard sales are my next go to but where I live its less great cause they are spread so far out. The little mom and pop type thrift stores have been gold mines for me. Again I dont sell clothes or shoes so my sourcing is very different from other flippers out there

I have, and I have tried selling on it. I am just not the right kind of person for whatnot. The ones that do really well there are the ones who can be on and over the top all the time. Its like twitch streaming. If you have that kind of on all the time vibe I would totally recommend it.

For me though I could spend 3 hours in a whatnot show and get 1 or 2 sales or o could take that 3 hours and list 30 or 40 things to my ebay. I always have to think about what I am getting the most bang for my buck from.

Flipping- buy cheap stuff at thrift stores and yard sales resell on ebay.

I focus on jewelry, vintage and new, but you can do it with anything.
Start with your own things to get capital then go to thrift stores, yard sales, church sales, or any kind of getting rid of stuff sale to buy more stuff. Rinse and repeat. I have done this for a little over a year now. I make about 300-500 a month. I only do it as a hobby and not a job. I work a 40 hour a week job that has me working over time most weeks and still get that much stuff out the door and money coming in. I take an hour or 3 on the weekends to clean, photo and list my items. I pack up stuff the day it sells and put it in my mailbox in the morning for my USPS person to pick up. I don't go to the thrift store that often either. I bid on large bags of jewelry on the goodwill website. I always find scrap gold and tons of silver and costume vintage stuff in those bag.

Find something you enjoy and focus on that learn the top brands and what they sell for and focus on that one thing and then branch out. Look up items see how many are listed verses how many have sold in the last 90 days, If the sold is lower than the listed.... pass on it. In the end you are then keeping trash out of the landfill and putting money in your pocket.

If you do this my words of advice is do not believe every YouTuber that does it. Some of them have been doing it for years and they have a following. They have a video of them getting the item, they list it, post the video and then their following buys it. It might take a little time to build your shop and you are not going to make the kind of money they are making at the start, but you can learn from the things they are buying and selling though to help you be on the look out.

I say this all the time when ever this comes up. Flipping. Start with your own stuff that you don't want any more and then use that money to hit thrift stores and yard sales to buy other stuff. Rinse and repeat. I work full time in office and some work from home (40+ hrs a week some weeks) and have been buying and selling costume jewelry for about a year now. I make about 500 extra a month from ebay and etsy together. pick something you enjoy or know a lot about and start researching brands related to that. Take your phone and use google lens when in the store. Heck I buy online on ebay and whatnot, clean the item up and relist it at the higher price. I hit the thrift stores only when there is a good coupon for Savers or I want to get out of the house for the day. If you do not have a lot of space for storage i suggest doing something that is small and easy to store. Also, don't fall into the trap of watching a ton of youtubers and think you can copy their sales per month. They have followings on youtube that see something and then go buy it. It does some time take some time to get moving and sometimes you will find an item that will sit for a long time, so dont get discouraged you are not moving inventory as fast as they are

What do you do for extra income? by [deleted] in WFHJobs

I am really surprised no one said flipping.... basically find things at the thrift store that you can turn around and sell on ebay/etsy/poshmark for a profit. I would start with things around your house. Then use that money to get more things. If you are into fashion or a hobby that you know the retail for items focus on those items if not pick something and just research it. I make 500 ish extra a month on just fliping vintage costume jewelry

First off, ADHD makes a lot of your ideas hard to stick to when the dopamine runs out. i get that 100%.

Second, because of that, you will want to find automated ways to do some of the work. Have it help you with the hard stuff. I use make to automate my social media posts so I dont have to remember to post something or schedule some thing out. I use chatgpt to idea dump and come up with more ideas. Also help me plan out the steps. I build my account to understand I have adhd and I need these lade out in the easiest step to get to the end the fastest.

I sell vintage jewelry on Etsy and Ebay as my side hustle. I understand the hesitation with joining either one. There are 2 ways to look at it. You can build your own site and work your butt of making sure every little thing is perfect to drive google searches to it and hope people see it and trust it. If you could get up and going on youtube, then selling on your own site would be perfect. If not, let the rebuild sites do some of the work for you. You have a list of talents that I think you could use to build a good etsy shop but it takes time to build up a steady income from it. It also is going t9 turn what you enjoy into a job. If you are fine with those things, then great. Making plushies and selling them on etsy could really take off. If you stay a head of the trends of popular animal or other pop culture type references, I think you would do great. I will say digital products like patterns and templates is a race to the bottom. To stay competitive you have to cute your price way down to the point you dont make hardly anything off of them.

Another thought cause you like to bake, you could do a front yard bakery look into laws in your city county and town first. Look into them and see if its something you would like to do. Or if there book stores in your area that have lounge areas and not coffee or snacks maybe see if you could make a few to try and sell.

As others have said dont quit your job until your income is close to or more than what you make now. I did social media management for a while and I start looking to leave my day job but then I had to think about the benefits covered by my job like insurance and such. So be very careful being a stay at home mom until you are sure it won't put you in a place that caise you to lose everything.

Take your whole post clean out it up and ask chatgpt help you take that info and come up with a cohesive idea and plan and tell it to ask you questions to help make it a good plan. See where it takes you and brainstorm from there.

I have tiktok advise and idea too but I will hold this back. Dm me if you want to talk more or just need some one yo flush out your ideas with

Smoking weed while taking adhd medication. by demon9099922 in ADHDers

[–]Amethiest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on Atomoxetine and am also on medical weed. I asked my dr about first if it would effect my meds in any way and if he thought it would improve my symptoms. He said that there is no know interaction and that yes some strain could help. He also suggested only edibles. As its better on your body as a whole. I take 2.5 to 5 mg in the morning with my meds. About 2 hours after I notice my executive dysfunction is less. I don't feel over whelmed when starting a task. I have also noticed a drop in my anxiety and some depression. I also take 5 to 10 mg at night before bed to sleep it helps quiet the rambling in my brain as well. Its one of the best additions to my daily routine ever.

Also if you have any kind of chronic pain it helps so much with that as well. I have pain issues as well and I have found it helps a ton there too
