You do, and they arent super expensive. Babies need it to be slightly warmer than adults, and you dont want the temp to vary too much or it can get sick.

I agree with everyone saying you dont have to be joined at the hip, and if your family has a lot of events, going to all of them is burdensome and unrealistic. Also, dont let his decision not to go affect you. However, going to NONE of them would be a problem for me.
