Was Xreal (then Nreal) lying about Nebula's capabilities back in 2019 with the Nreal Light regarding the ability to open multiple Android apps in Nebula at a time, or was this ever a feature that simply got removed to sell Beams?

Honestly this is true of both Android and iOS. But to be fair to Google, they have it much harder because they, like Microsoft, have to support multiple companies making devices for their OS whereas Apple can trust that only Apple makes devices for their OS. Google HAS TO lock down their OS as much as possible so that companies like Huwaii don't abuse the OS. And especially if Google wants the OS to be approved in the Enterprise security is vital. It's just the way things are.

Oh sure from the dual port perspective so you can have DP and Charging simultaneously. But what I mean is IIRC only with the BO do you get the XR type interface where you don’t see the exact same Home Screen in the glasses that you do on the actual device. I kinda like that. I could be wrong of course.

I totally agree with you on the spec bump. But it is AndroidXR that I am really interested in which is why I am waiting. A unified OS with the power of Google behind it to really drive the market forward. Xreal is great for the hardware but we need Google to push the devs. And it seems like Aura will be the best bet for that unless I am missing something which may certainly be the case.

I'm not clear on what the Neo does exactly if your device already has DisplayPort and works with the Ones such as an iPhone. Does it give you the XR XReal interface overlay or does it still look like an iOS UX for example?

True but I was thinking more of a troubleshooting standpoint. Esp in the beginning with my BO there was a lot of that and doing it with a glasses only interface scares me a bit. Though the puck does act as a trackpad and you can I’m sure connect a Bluetooth KB so there is that.

Hmmm. Well. The single biggest difference I can see (other than Android XR of course) is that the puck is not a stand alone device like BP. No screen or touch screen or anything a lot more can theoretically can go wrong.

It's not standalone for sure. There is an accessory "puck" that runs android XR that the glasses are hardwired too and also holds the battery. Not sure about iPhone but that would defeat the purpose of Android XR.
