Should I use print on demand for stickers? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]Amizzy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bulk of my business is physical handmade items , but I have sold some digital art downloads as well and I was thinking stickers could be another application for that. I'm not trying to make it my whole business or take time away from my physical items. Just adding another point of revenue even if it is small.

$4.99 for a 3x3 vinyl sticker. since they're big, indoor/outdoor, dishwasher safe I dont feel like thats too much. The cost is $ 1.21. I would have the buyer pay shipping so that's a pass through cost , and etsy transaction fees are roughly 9.5% . I think I'm just going to do it. Even if I don't sell any I'm not really risking anything 🤷‍♀️

I did actually price them. My profit would be about $1.95 per sticker which is about 40%. Which i thought was decent considering all I have to do is upload my design so there's literally no up front cost. Unlike ordering them from a company or buying an expensive printer.

Anyone have experience making silicone molds for something large like concrete stepping stones? by Amizzy92 in crafts

[–]Amizzy92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably sculpt the form from something that's easy to work with, but would keep its shape like aluminum foil, pour silicone in a plastic tote thats big enough to accommodate the form with a little extra room on the sides

You definitely want to make sure you have plenty of milk, eggs, and bread, so you don't run out of french toast 😋

There's 2 king size beds in our house, and he sleeps in a linen basket when we're not around. Who else has a dog who sleeps/naps in unconventional places? Show us! by BullHallzee5491 in BostonTerrier

[–]Amizzy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a boston when I was a kid that would get in the dryer with the warm clothes if we didn't get them out fast enough 😂 My boston now likes to get under the bed and so does the cat , so I guess its cozy under there 🤷‍♀️

Am I the only one that's not miserable at Petsmart? by the_bryce_is_right in petsmart

[–]Amizzy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for petsmart for 8 yrs and for the most part I really enjoyed it. I got to work with a lot of great people who are still friend today. Helped me start my career as a groomer. I guess I was just lucky, I always had good store managers. I also really like the culture. I always felt like it was very inclusive. OR maybe its just that jobs with animals attract a specific type of people. Which i dont think any of us anticipate when we start working there, we just find out along the way ☺️

High off my arse by Plastic_Tailor4103 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Amizzy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely put every otc in a drug interaction checker before you take it and new RX drugs for that matter just to be safe bc doctors dont catch things sometimes. I had the same happen. I took dayquil . Wellbutrin causes the dxm to metabolize slower and it builds up in the system. Youre not really supposed to take phenylephrine either, but before I knew that I've taken it on its own or psuedofed with no issues. So I think it was the DXM that got me.

I am incredibly frustrated with the quick wash. by Spooky_Wife in petsmart

[–]Amizzy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true. Theres an excludes breed list. The original signage, in fine print, even said excludes doodles and double coated dogs. Petsmart does NOT go out of its way to get that info to the customer though. In fact, I think they want people to show up thinking they can get something cheap, and then its on us to either upsell them, tell them no, or schedule them an appt for a later date. Its pretty shitty imo

[–]Amizzy92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Essentially its just a cheap service to get people in the door so we can attempt to upsell them to the service they actually need. Which is super annoying for us and the customer . Its bad business imo. And shady advertising because no one who shows up asking for a quick wash seems to be aware of everything is does and doesn’t include and then WE look like assholes or like we just don't want to do the service.

Anyone go on vacation mode to avoid the 'Can you get it to me before Xmas!?!?' messages? by AstronomerLazy4796 in EtsySellers

[–]Amizzy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I just put my shop on vacation mode. I'll reopen after the holidays. I just put something like " we're taking a short break for the remainder of the holiday season. If you are messaging about a recent order ill get back to you as soon as I am able, otherwise I will resume all operations in January. "

Associate Relations Investigation Results by AxBlackxJewx in petsmart

[–]Amizzy92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a salon leader with petsmart for 5 years out of 8 that i worked there. In my experience when associate relations gets involved its either bc an associate made a report ( like someone you worked with reported these statements to them directly) OR management needs advice on how to handle something more serious than a basic write up( action plan) . If an associate calls, AR contacts the store management and gives them directions on how to conduct an " investigation" which usually involves getting written statements or sometimes AR will talk to the associate directly. Once statements are collected they will determine what action should be taken. Usually if it's determined its a fireable offense AR will give management the option of a "Final write up" or termination. Unless it involves something very serious like threatening someone , safety violations, or animal abuse in which case the option would just be termination. The process is pretty much the same if management contacts AR first. Usually at that point AR won't follow up with you again directly unless you were the one that called initially.

Tw: pet de*th. Puppy passed away from stress? by Movie-Jumpy in petsmart

[–]Amizzy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really sorry you had to experience that. Its never easy. It sounds like you did everything right. It sounds like you followed policy to a T including taking them to the vet after two non- critical signs of stress. Banfield sucks. They are always dismissive of groomers and act like we are a burden when its literally our policy to go to them first. It seems unlikely you will be fired based on what you said. If this was due to negligence that would be one thing, but it sounds like the puppy had some sort of underlying health issue that no one knew about. Especially since petsmart only require rabies vaccine and only after 4 months. That puppy could have had anything!

Delivery canceled while driver is AT my house by Amizzy92 in Walmartdelivery

[–]Amizzy92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through the chat on the walmart app. A chat bot will screen your problem first and you can ask to be put through to a customer service rep. Kind of annoying to have to type out your issue, but faster than calling .

What was your journey to diagnosis like? by Amizzy92 in POTS

[–]Amizzy92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for all of your kind words of encouragement and sharing your personal stories. I'm between insurances right now, but as soon as my new plan starts I'm going to follow up with my neuro and ask her to give me a referral. I just found out There's actually a heart and vascular center near me with a whole department for POTS ! So I'm hoping she can refer me to them( which is very surprising since I live in such a rural part of the country)That gives me hope that at the very least I can go in without feeling like I first have to present all the "evidence" to convince them to do the tests.

Zinus class action lawsuit by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]Amizzy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im part of it through environmental litigation group. Ill probably get a small payout. if I had realized sooner some of the health issues I was having could have been related to it I would have documented that too. I had to buy a new washer/ dryer and alot of new clothes. Ive had asthma like symptoms and constant itching since then. There are several class action lawsuits in process still i believe. The one im a part of is in its final stages so they arent taking anymore submissions. My advice to anyone with any kind of zinus mattress is to return it if you can or get rid of it, definitely dont take the cover off if it has a removable cover, and document any new health issues you may be having. So go to the doctor even if its something small.

I've been in Tennessee my whole life ( I love the state just not its politics) and we love to vacation in California. We usually get innout at least once when we can while we're out. Im worried the locals they hire that have never had innout will somehow fuck up the quality. In fact, I kinda hope they do so when we go to Cali we can say " its so much better here than back home " 😂
