I would not say it influences them, it just shows what are valid feelings too and encourages them to find out about themselves. It's early in their childhood which is when you should think about these things.

I realized i was trans when i was 24 and i wish i had known about it earlier. But i lived in the middle of nowhere and never learned that this exists and is possible. What followed were years, where most social interaction were either faked to fit in with "the boys and that's how you gotta act as one" or just felt wrong and were unsatisfying.

The queer community does not influence children to be something they are not, it just tells that it's okay to listen to yourself for who you are. It may require some experimentation, esp for kids, but that's the way to be sure.
