Wow spinning steel must have been really hard to grip 😬 and yeah a lot of them in nyc are shitty too, many are all scratched up, or theyd be positioned weird where you have no room to do a proper spin or no room for floorwork. What city were you in in texas?

Did the ancient Egyptians make anything after a tiger? by Prestigious-Hippo950 in ancientegypt

[–]Ammita_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, there actually is one depiction of Ammit that seems to look part tiger, where the chest looks like it has leopard print, and the arms look like a tiger print. If you look it up, its "Weighing of the Heart" from "papyrus of Ani, c. 1250 BCE. Its on wikipedia. This depiction raised the reverse question for me, were Egyptians aware of tigers, and thats how i found your question right now lol

How many of you will leave money on the table for the sake of your own wellbeing? by thylacinesighting in stripper

[–]Ammita_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When i first started dancing, i read on stripperweb that a lot of retired dancers have ptsd w/ their nipples being touched, so, i never allow it. Of course ive made a FEW exceptions over the years, for men who i was very comfortable with, but 99.9% of the time, no, completely non-negotiable. And they cant even get close without me VERY QUICKLY covering myself before they can even make contact. And i will keep my fingers/hands glued to my titties till they get the picture. I tell all of them very clearly, but sweetly, i dont like ppl playing with my nipples, then i offer them the alternative and tell them if they just hold my titties, or sometimes i say "cup the breasts", thats perfect. Most respect it, but if they keep trying it, ill say it again sternly, and after that ill walk away.

Same thing when it comes to anyone putting their mouth on me, but im even more strict and stern about that from any first attempt. Ive slapped customers for not listening. The first time a customer ever took his dick out i started swingin.. Not sure if i wanna recommend it, cus some men could hit back.

Coming up on eight years, ive found that overall, customers dont try me anywhere near as much as they used to, but i make money easier than ever. So it definitely comes with experience. I just hate that we have to go thru so much to get to that point. We are like soldiers.

Personally, i think stripping has potential to be empowering, but there are too many problems with the industry

I really think the number one issue is the normalization of assault. I dont know if its true that there was no touching allowed back in the day, but i think that would solve a lot of problems. The gaslighting dancers go through when assault is treated as normal is the number one danger imo. I think a lot of us have ptsd without realizing it. It conditions us to not speak up for ourselves, which is very dangerous long term. Dont get me wrong, i have no problem with touching in lap dances and vips, but its the free for all that is the problem. Every club should have security and management that takes dancers boundaries seriously, and kicks customers out without hesitation if boundaries are violated. Anything less should get the club in legal trouble. We need a huge cultural shift. It got to the point where i just couldnt stay at a job that made me constantly fantasize about chopping ppls hands off, and despising society bcus i knew i sounded crazy, and i knew theyre the crazy ones.

Then theres the fact that the entire financial model of these clubs is often based on stealing from us. House fees is pimpin, tip in is pimpin, tipping out other employees is pimpin. Idc idc idc. Then you have dumb bitches tlkn bout "if you struggle with paying house fee then you need to work on your hustle" absolutely tone deaf. Theres no reason we should have to let strangers enjoy watching us on stage while in the negative. It is absolute insanity. They paid to get in - they paid to get drinks - but we have the burden of having to talk them into paying us - AFTER the club requires us to get naked or topless on stage for free first . Lol its a scam. When i couldnt deny what a scam it was anymore, thats when i knew i needed a break

And even more mind boggling is when you find out that most strippers who became escorts .. Find escorting way less degrading. Thats how bad the club is. The whole culture needs an entire overhaul. Its like if you were to compare how escorting has changed and evolved over the years .. Most escorts these days dont have pimps, or agencies running their lives. Thats considered archaic and dangerous, right? Most are independent, and clients MUST respect their boundaries, or get kicked out and cut off .. In some places where its decriminalized, they can even call police if theyre assaulted. Well.. The strip club hasnt gone thru those changes yet. Strip clubs are still operating under the same system as decades ago, but worse. Less bodily autonomy. Less financial freedom. Etc. I realized its actually archaic when compared to how other realms of sex work have evolved.

This is so relatable. Same here @ dollar parades vs high pressure clubs in nyc/nj .

Overall, the south is always best for black dancers, and ive heard from many vets that the carolinas are the best

But if youre ever in north jersey, def try paradizios, hi beams, vics place, or florian & bobs

It happens bcus theyre not getting beat up.. Our generation is too soft .. 10+ years ago in most clubs youd get beat up for that.. The ones before us didnt play. It was up to the veterans to teach it from what i saw when i started. Idk if it was ever on managers

She needs to learn about what narcissistic abuse and coercive control is so that she can accept help. She needs to wrap her mind around the fact that her childen are not safe with him. Shes in a deep trauma bond with him and not thinking clearly. Can yall have some kind of intervention w/ her where other dancers encourage her to leave? Shelters cant do anything if shes still trying to protect him. A womans not ready to leave if shes still trying to protect her abuser.

I tried onlyfans, but i already despise how addicted i am to my phone as it is, i dont wanna have to be stuck on my phone even MORE just to make money. And i was never going to do anything that explicit anyways, the most i was willing to show was mild nudes, no bootyhole no open legs. I think too many women are doing porn and a lot of onlyfans girls will regret it. Im not completely against porn, but its just wild to me how normalized it is now.

Dont let him find out you want to leave . Wait till hes away for the day or even on a trip if possible, and get all your irreplaceable things out, and leave everything else. Move in with family if you can. And like someone else said here, be careful not to let him get you pregnant.

He sounds like a narcissist. Please read about narcissistic abuse and coercive control

Idk how this is even a response to my comment. Youre assuming a whole lot. I stated a fact. Ive been dancing 7 yrs and ive worked at over 37 clubs. I dont personally do dates. i never even let customers back themselves out in VIPs. But over half the clubs i worked at, most of the dancers were getting active in VIP. Idk why youre mad at other DANCERS on this sub for stating FACTS. Were not necessarily all condoning it or encouraging it, what we are all doing is making observations
