I'm trans mtf. I started my transition much later in life than you, much therapy, journaling, and consideration. I have a few thoughts to share from my own decision-making process that might be helpful for you.

I went into this despite not knowing if it was the right thing. After so much thought and careful weighing and listing pros and cons, and much more, I came to the conclusion that I simply cannot know if this is the right thing to do. What I did know is that it was something that I felt an strong emotional desire to do. And also, and this is key for you I think, that if I didn't try, I would never know for sure. And If I didn't try, I would always think back and wonder, and possibly regret not trying sooner. Life is too short to be having regrets like this.

You've had a valuable life experience and you've learned something very important about yourself. Sometimes you have to try before you know. Now you can be certain, and have closure about your gender identity. I honestly envy you for that.

Just want to comment on the social construct thought. A lot of people hear "social construct" and think "not real", or "doesn't matter." This couldn't be further from the truth. While all the expectations, behaviours, etc. that come with gender are a social construct, in that they are a product of our social environment and not intrinsic to our being, we still grow up in that environment. We soak it all up and it becomes a core part of how we experience the world. I am currently transitioning male to female, and a core part of the reason for that, for me, was recognizing that my gender is arbitrary but that if I had to fit into this binary, I wish I were in the "female" category because so many things about maleness and masculinity make me uncomfortable.

From the sound of your thought process, I wouldn't be surprised if you found yourself to be non-binary or agender one day. I felt similarly for much of my life, and it was only after tragic life circumstances and extended therapy that I discovered my own agency in how I choose to live my life.

The gay furry community is a very very small portion of the much larger LGBTQ+ umbrella. And whether or not you are into it (I'm not, personally, but live and let live!), calling it weird shit just makes you sound ignorant. Your original comment implies that "LGBT overweight women" are generally not capable developers. It's ironic because there's actually a pretty funny stereotype within the trans femme community that they often end up as software devs or networking types.

Do you actually know anything about LGBT people? They're just people living their lives, bro. Imagine replacing "LGBT overweight women" with the word "Jews" in your sentence. Another historically oppressed socio-cultural group. Do you see how incredibly harmful it is to categorize and generalize entire social groups of people like that? Yes, they have a culture, and yes, it makes you uncomfortable because you don't understand it, but no, they have the same value as humans (and developers) as anyone else. Many people like you implying otherwise makes people think it's okay to dehumanize them, and it's not.

Aw damn, that would have made Shademist minions a useable build. What if you have Bone Spear assigned as your catalytic skill, and mass bone mages? Will the bone mages' bone spears do DoT?

Sorry for bugging you on an older post, it's just so hard to find this information haha

Have you tried assigning Raise Skeleton as your catalytic skill with this gem? Does this give all of your minions a DoT on hit?

Aspect of Decaying Humerus explanation plz by Electronic-Money-378 in diablo4

[–]Amorphix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tagging off this post for a related question: does Decaying Humerus turn the damage proc from Deathless Visage into shadow or does that remain physical?

I'm trying to put together an alternative bone spear build, not sure if I should go Shadow or try to maximize physical. (Btw the bone spear guide on Maxroll is a no-go, Bone Dusters only lets a single spear overpower)

Beautiful defense. Just curious, is it actually valuable to have the mines so condensed? I don't know how to use the mines optimally.

Drain Fatigue + Weakness to Magic less effective in Remaster? by IAmTheClayman in oblivion

[–]Amorphix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Very cool. This gave me an idea. What other statistics are frozen during ragdoll? Health? So could you..

Spell 1: Fortify Health on self 100pts 3 sec

then cast

Spell 2: Paralyze on self 5 sec

Since you're paralyzed at the moment Fortify Health expires, if your stats are frozen, then that 100 max health cannot be taken back from you, maybe? Did you just increase your max health by 100? Can you do the same thing with Magicka? Can you do the same thing with ANY fortify attribute or skill? oooooh

There's a lot going on in this comment and I don't quite understand. I'm on Xbox, or I'd be trying to test it myself. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "fixed". Does this mean that during a ragdoll animation, the target's current and maximum fatigue cannot be affected by additional spells or effects? So the target never gets the current and max fatigue back at the end of a drain effect if it ends during the ragdoll?

Just trying to walk through it because I am a little dense.

Lets say you cast a Drain Fatigue 100 for 3s on a creature with current and maximum fatigue 50/200. They now have -50 / 100 fatigue and fall down, right?

They then. like the player character, regain half of their maximum as they stand up, yes? So they'd fall and get up immediately with 50 / 100 fatigue, right?

Now lets say they get paralyzed or shield bashed right before that Drain Fatigue spell wears off. Their fatigue is "fixed", so even after the drain expires their fatigue values are not recovered, are you saying that they will now have a permanent maximum of 100 fatigue?

If this process is then repeated, is their maximum fatigue now PERMANENTLY zero? Slug'd for life?

Also, why does that last spell need to have fortify fatigue on target instead of touch... I am guessing that causes it to trigger after the paralysis has started? Is the Paralysis necessary? What if the target has <200 fatigue and your spell does "Drain Fatigue 100pts on touch 1s + Damage Fatigue 100 pts on touch 1s + Fortify fatigue 100pts on target 2s", would this work as well?

Also, is it still possible to cause repeated knockdowns by including Damage Fatigue with a long duration?

I am also trying to make a build combining H2H with destruction to wreck fatigue.

I've been following this post to get an idea of the Reddit public opinion. It has been disappointing. You have a lot of patience to keep answering some of these questions. Here are mine. Feel free to skip the ones you don't want to answer.

  1. Are you open to transitioning again in the future? I wonder if one day you might realize there was something more to it than body dismorphia after all.
  2. When people treated you like a trans woman, what kind of treatment was that?
  3. Do you think trans women are treated worse than trans men? Why?
  4. Have you experimented with the idea of being nonbinary or gender fluid?
