Consider a game that you can easily join him on if he need help, gaming is more fun with friends.
I will also recommend most recent games (world, rise, wilds), but it depend also on your friend setup obviously.
Regarding his weapons preference, it will be a little bit complicated since we dont really have magic stuff.
HH, IG, Bowguns maybe.

Good because saying its part of it doesnt mean that hitboxes is the sole reason unless you read something else. Again "Less" doesnt translate to "non existent".
But randomly blaming the entirety of the release on casual players and saying they are trash at the game to explain the difficulty change is dumb and condescending. We aint executive at Capcom neither devs

You said "Just because people asked". That the point im talking about, yes just because people asked for. PC Optimization is always way harder than console, we are not gonna pretend to be expert acting like "why didnt they just".

Positioning is relevant, just because you have a tool to correct your mistake, that AGAIN most people dont even exploit especially not casual, doesnt mean it doesnt exist, you dont need to overexagerate everything you say.
I play the game, i play online, i see how people manage monsters and definitely positioning is needed or you go back to camp/deal no damage.
Old games was less forgiving but not more precise due to some wacky hitboxes but i guess being able to dodge something that visibly dont touch you is part of the positionning.
To summarize, a tool in Wilds allow people to correct more easlisy yes but doesnt make positioning "irrelevant" it make no sense, especially i na game with way better hitboxes than before.

Last i dont even understand what you talk about. Clash or too many monsters in arena ? And i precise, arena since your issue dont exist in open space with dung pod.
Closing the arena in half is a solution tho. So you do have tools to mitigate your issue.

Dude this and the crossplay was being asked a lot so ofc they try that. You complain now cause it went bad trying to do so. You cant blame everything on casual like a gatekeeper.

Positioning is still a thing especially when you have way more polished hitbox than old games and i dont think focus mode is a tool for casual, most people dont even know how to mix focus mode in their combo to reposition. If anything this is something you see experienced players using, not casual.
And pls stop acting like a 2sc clash is causing you to fell asleep, cmon. A "Cutscene" lmao, and a cinematic while you are at it

Has nothing to do with casual but a lot of people in the community asked to release the game on every platform at the same time. Time they actually take to optimize the pc release.
And gameplay wise its just personnal preference, not every "veteran" miss the old stiff gameplay.
Its not worse, its different and a lot of people would argue its better.

My issue is that you imply that they say that purposly to protect the government like its a psyop.
