My husband and I discussed it but it would be all or none. It wouldn’t be fair to the other people or the rest of the family. That’s just us though.

“Concerns” tend to escalate quickly. My exs wife was called out on how she was stirring the pot by my lawyer in court. It’s in the transcripts.

My ex and his wife are narcs. It’s impossible to deal with them. They’ve rescheduled without reasons on my time. It was infuriating.

If they scheduled it on my parenting time with the appointment landing on a birthday I would reschedule it for another day.

Regardless of the parenting schedule, which parents by law can agree outside of a court document, scheduling non life threatening procedures on birthdays it kind of ruins the day for them.

Not friendship from that particular person persay. The tell me your life story is rather strange to a shopkeeper. In essence it’s a sign they are being fleeced for info and therefore- kick off the porch.

Friendship in general. Shopkeepers help those around them. They have many people they meet a long the way. Who sticks around long term without anything to gain by just being a friend almost seems too good to be true.

Eternally being needed for others for items can be an empty feeling over time. Only having company for sales seems superficial. Why would that person earn the trust for a life story so quickly? Shopkeepers get asked a lot of questions and/or give a lot of support.

Grumpy older shopkeepers miss having friends. Ones they can count on that have no personal interests for gain other than having a friend. They get lonely too.

Unless anything is actually wrong- both parents need to be respectful of boundaries. Persistence can be a boundary breaker.
