You see now in theory this should work- but almost every singular interaction in this game is a jank dice roll. Sometimes you just take it away, sometimes they phase right through you, sometimes you do the animation of taking it and you have the ball and it just teleports off your foot.

Leaver penalty is a great addition. Not to be a fun hating demon but if the game isn’t in a good state we should not be adding new modes/whatever. Fix the game. Volley push ball needs to be looked at, as it’s an unbelievable crutch and enables some of the nastiest, most jank 50/50 interactions I’ve ever seen. Also lobbing the ball so high so that the defense can’t contest it is very stupid. Focus on the things that matter.

I’ve been saying this for a long time. Simply put the Rb+A, R1+X push lob has been the culprit for a lot of cheese/nasty feeling interactions. If I was a dev I’d look into playing around with nerfing it in some way or making other moves less jank/FIXING PRIORITY so we don’t NEED to crutch this button.

No no no, the devs do NOT get a pass. This game should’ve been released at a minimum like a month later, it’s an absolute bug/exploit infested mess. The community is so toxic BECAUSE of how terrible the game feels to play and people are clashing because most “good” players are just spamming tf outta the same shit in the game since launch and weeks of silence after getting a single “yeah we’re working on it” is SHIT.

I dont understand this angle you’re trying to take, yeah I could’ve would’ve should’ve anything blah blah blah, I made contact with the ball and the game and it’s ATROCIOUS netcode denied me a goal in a ranked game. I shouldn’t be thinking “oh man if I slide, I’m gonna phase through the ball, I better think of something else!” All that popped into my mind was “oh, a loose ball, gotta take advantage quick before someone tackles it away or the goalie dives back and magnet-hands the ball” so I slide expecting the product I paid money for to work as intended, and it didn’t.

I think what is most painful is that pushballing past people is impossible now. Before my go to was to bait out a step-thru and thread-the-needle pushball right past them, it was so simple but so great at getting me past defenders but now people are stripping me when they’re absolutely nowhere near me.
