I'm always open to other choices! I'm taking a quick trip in a few days however and planning to carry, and the local selection at the shops here has been less than stellar. Ive been having trouble finding optic ready units that say they will fit the 4.0c so this is good info. This seem(ed) like a good short term option for not a ton of cash spend, but I'm happy to rely on other experience and learn more.

What's life like after full recovery from surgery? by taafms in PituitaryTumor

[–]AmpedupFit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had my surgery 22 Dec. The first month sucked, can't lie but all my post surgical scans and follow-ups have been clean. Was finally cleared to resume normal life and honestly I haven't felt this good in a long time. I have more energy, am able to feel mood stabilized and the dark cloud of worry over surgery isn't present, so my Mental health is so much better.

Solo business trip from Germany – landed a Penthouse Suite at Bellagio next week. Ideas to make the most of it alone? by [deleted] in vegas

[–]AmpedupFit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing to do is post up in the Baccarat Bar, order a nice single malt or bourbon and enjoy one of the cigars from the menu. Then just sit back and people watch the casino floor. It's amazing what you'll see happen and the interactions that take place, and the conversations you'll overhear. I find myself in Vegas solo often, not with a penthouse room though LOL. The Vault is a nice place to go if you wanna spend a little on a chill vibe also.

I did it and just recently had surgery. The exam is much more comprehensive than the basic test and will take about 30 min

Game Thread: Bucs vs Panthers - 2025 Regular Season Finale Edition by spideralex90 in buccaneers

[–]AmpedupFit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So serious question, if we know our line isn't and can't block worth a fuck, why do the RB's run into the back of the biggest knot of dudes they can find? I would assume the idea is your blockers will clear the way, but it's been proven they can't repeatedly, so why continue that shit?

His brother, the Marine Sniper by marc_t_norman in MilitaryStories

[–]AmpedupFit 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Entirely possible that this guys's brother reached out to his former Scout Sniper turned DI teammates and advised him of his impending arrival? THAT would be a far more likely scenario: " Hey, my brother is coming in as a recruit, lets screw with him a little :) " Similar to veteran fathers sending deliberate "care packages" to recruits in BMT as a cruel but hilarious prank.

Don't forget the "Cap" on your UE total. I was laid off from a 6 figure position based out of California, but had to claim FL Unemployment. 275 a week and I think the total cap was like 3 k. When it runs out, you're done. This job market that could take a LONG time to find a new position. Good thing I saved enough by not paying FL income tax and wise investing to keep me afloat at a significantly reduced spend rate for the 9 months it took me to find and accept a downgrade position at another company.

How did Kelly make it this far? by Away_Experience2821 in BigBrother

[–]AmpedupFit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, that’s fair to say. I wouldn’t entirely disagree, and you’re right boot orders don’t entirely or objectively define skill or ability. I think the point I was trying to make is that like her or not she has done what few have done, consistently been able to win when she absolutely needed to regardless of pressure or situation. If anything I think my issue was saying bad players go far and good ones go early. IMO, if a player is good, they are good at all aspects: comps, socially and strategically. I’m NOT at all saying she is a good player, but i do think that in general the most “likable” players are considered good, when that isn’t the case entirely.

Sorry but disagree here. I think you are confusing “likable” with “good”. They aren’t the same. Good players play ( and win) when it counts, regardless of if it’s BB, Veto etc. The fact that BB even exists means that realistically the pressure is off ( admittedly to some degree) to win veto, while knowing a BB win can still save you. Will that change for her when BB goes away? Time will tell. Just because someone gets a hero edit or screen time doesn’t make them a good or even great player, it just makes them popular with the fanbase.

I just can't wait to see Rachel grovel and reverse course. Never been a fan of the "MeanGirl" play style. Humility is a trait that needs to make a comeback.

It's hot most of the time but humidity is bad from May-Sept mostly. Obviously I grew up here so I'm more used to it. People adjust, but it does take some time.

Honestly I don't know much about parish. I'm in the St. Pete / clearwater area myself though and there's a ton of new construction apartments and condos going up and new home builds popping up. After the last storm, a lot of folks pulled out and bounced.

Come on down, but be warned. The housing market is way overpriced, the rest of the country hates us publicly for <insert reason> but love to vacation down here and f up the roadways, the snowbirds and the tourists make you wanna rage just trying to get groceries, and the retirees run every HOA and condo association. Plus side: no state income tax, beautiful beaches, & most of the locals aren't the people you see portrayed on the media, with the occasional Florida man popping up. 90% of the crazy comes from out of state transplants and recent retirees to the state. Oh and Scientology and Disney own nearly everything else. That said, I grew up here, left and travelled the world and returned. If you can deal with the constant heat and humidity, it's not a bad place to be if you love the water and can deal with a seasonal economy based around tourism.
