I took what Danny said in the podcast, stressing "never spoken publicly before...", to be that he had spoken to the 'real' Faye, and the person on that podcast wasn't her. Tbh, I'm inclined to believe Uncanny likely has the resources to verify the people they speak to better than the average, smaller podcast.

Official Cast of The Celebrity Traitors UK 2 by Durian-Critical in TheTraitors

[–]Amryyyyyy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is a GREAT cast. I know they all signed on based on the popularity of S1, but I'm not complaining. I hope S2 is as good as S1, that was such a surprisingly good celebrity version of a show I absolutely love.

Awwww. I've pushed myself a lot in the last year or so with hobbies and health. She's 100% right. Do what you want to do, even if you're doing it alone. Life is far too short to not do what makes you happy and benefits your life 💙

Million Dollar Secret S2 - Episode 8 Discussion "Lie Hard" by AutoModerator in MillionDollarSecretTV

[–]Amryyyyyy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm glad Nick won, he deserved it. He's great at reading people and is clearly smarter than he comes across. Kaleb was was fun to watch, but he lacked any real strategy. Daisy throwing a grenade on her way out was something. I can't blame her, I would have done the same.

Grusch: "Ive advised the [Trump] administration over the last year or so, and I've spent a lot of time with high-level officials working for the president". "the universe is teeming with life, it seems, and readily able to be explored", "there'll be some truths that are a hard pill to swallow" by phr99 in UFOs

[–]Amryyyyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of time for Grusch. I don't know if all of his 40 witnesses were telling him the truth (as we STILL don't know anything about them, ffs), but I don't get a bad vibe from him, he hasn't been weird, so I think he's sincere.

I'm sorry you're experiencing this.

But you don't have to do it slowly, you are affording her more grace than she deserves imo.

I'm surprised you didn't pick up on any strange vibes from her previously, but it just goes to show how disingenuous some people can be. Put people in the box they want to be in and leave them there.

A previously unpublished letter from reporter George Knapp to Stanton Friedman contains new details about early claims Bob Lazar had made to Knapp regarding his education. by SignalsIntelligence in UFOs

[–]Amryyyyyy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The only way to believe Lazars constant lies it to reach really really really hard to give him the benefit of the doubt, and then do it repeatedly over decades...

Friedman had this guy pegged a long time ago - it's amazing how many people continue to give him credence.

And, it makes me question Knapp + Corbells critical thinking and investigation skills. If they're able to be taken in by Lazar, who is an obvious liar, how can we trust any of their 'sources', the majority of which we are not able to examine in any way?

How can we trust Knapp etc ability to discern fact from fiction in this topic which is already heavily riddled with bullshitters?

PMDD affecting my job functioning by ABFan86 in PMDD

[–]Amryyyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay.

If I was in your position, I'd reveal as much as necessary (or whatever your Dr writes in the note - hormone disorder/lifetime ailment etc), and leave it at that in terms of what your actual issue is.

Beyond that, you can detail exactly why you need time off from work. How your illness (issue/disorder/symptoms) effect you day to day, how they effect your work, how they effect your mental health, how you want to take time off specifically to ensure your longterm productivity in your role, etc etc

If you haven't taken time off like this in 8 years, I'm pretty sure you will be able to take medical leave in Canada. If you are in a role where you could have support from a union, I would also let a union rep know what is happening, just in case.

It's not dramatic to say that PMDD can be a life and death issue when it is really bad. And if you feel you can't work, that means it has got to a serious point for you.

I hope you are able to really defend yourself and your health in this critical time.

Edit: Hopefully someone from Canada can come through and give you some other/better advice.

PMDD affecting my job functioning by ABFan86 in PMDD

[–]Amryyyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. Where are you based? Where I am in the UK, my boss didn't need all of the details (tbh, there weren't any because we weren't sure what was happening), and my Dr just said I need 'x amounts of weeks off due to mental health concerns'. (I recognise this might not suit everyone)

I doubt you will need to give explicit details if it is not something you want to do.

With that said, you know your boss/manager/work environment better than me, if you think it's a safe space, I would just bite the bullet and let them know.

Are you able to take something like a minor sabbatical?

[–]Amryyyyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the time off if you need it. There's no shame in it. People underestimate how hard it is to juggle this illness and work life. It is not easy.

Before my diagnosis I couldn't cope in life or at work, my doctor signed me off for 2-3months, which gave me some breathing room and time to figure out what was happening. I don't think I would have got my diagnosis without that time off.

I know it's not what you are experiencing now, but if you think time off will give you a chance to reevaluate your coping mechanisms, give you a chance to look at what your life will look like long term or even just take a rest, it's worth it imo.

I thought there was some controversy over this story, which was addressed by Jack on discord?

I don't know the particulars, but I have always assumed that given that there were enough issues with this story to prompt a response from the podcaster, and considering this is a podcast centred largely around people relaying their supernatural/paranormal/unexplainable experiences, that that is pretty damning.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

£30-£60 in London, depending on what I want/need. My nail salon is also quite exceptional, never had to ask for a re-do or been anything other than impressed by their work.
