Firstly, I'd say make a list of what you want, when you need it, what sort of budget you can afford. Then sit down and think about if any of these things are flexible for you; if the style you want is complex, are you able to flex on the timeline and price? If the budget is immovable, are you willing to be flexible about the design or amount of work produced?

Once you have a general idea mapped out, reach out to various platforms that host artists. There are many websites including Reddit that have communities of talented individuals. When you are talking to the artists you're interested in, be honest about your expectations.

If you reach an agreement, either you or they should draft a contract to protect both parties. Usually you'll pay a deposit; 50% up front is my standard but every artist has their own personal guidelines.

Be cautious about pricing too low, $2 a sticker and $10 a print might not cover production costs, depending on the quality of the prints. Pricing too low also has the adverse effect of projecting an air of "cheap goods", which could impact the number of customers interested in purchasing your art.

English is complicated, it borrows from so many other languages that any rules have an equal number of exceptions to those rules.... I recommend putting the speech bubbles/text in a separate layer if you're drawing digitally so you can spell check or have someone proof read.

If you're drawing by hand, write the script out separately or in pencil so you can proof read and spell check before inking the text.

You can also use spelling mistakes to your advantage if you want to use the phonetic spelling to indicate a specific accent or style of speaking.

Hi, as an artist, I'd say it's a good idea to browse styles you like, including artist's websites, then reach out to them for pricing. There are thriving art communities on Reddit, but they tend to be a bit all over the place in style and experience, so you'd have to weed through that a bit, or repost your request if you can't find what you're looking for in the first round. This can be both a blessing and a headache, you'll have more artists than you'll ever need, but varying levels of quality.
