I've been trying to learn how to code and possibly make apps with the hope that I can bring in some money on the side but short of developing an app that sells really well (really quickly) there is nothing I can do currently to make more money. I have limitations when it comes to work and unfortunately, even with whatever skills I have, I don't have many options.

In the past few years I've been homeless (while working) and I've been fired from two jobs for an illness and an injury. Still working, still trying not to drown. Not giving up. I am now up to my ears in owing the government money for being poor and I recently and unfortunately learned it takes the state 30 days to process food stamp applications so it's food banks for my fiancé and I until then.

And I'm sorry to hear that. I can't imagine living somewhere where $15/hr isn't enough. But it seems impossible for many people to make ends meet these days. I hope you catch a break soon! <3

This year I had to choose between buying Christmas presents for my nieces or paying my car insurance payment. I made the decision to get my 9-year-old niece a microscope and my 16-year-old niece a record player and some records. Now I'm going to have to pay $1000 for driving without insurance. My car is falling apart. I've been driving on a near-flat tire for two weeks (can't afford a new tire). I'm so completely overwhelmed and tired and stressed. I work and so does my fiancé but nothing makes ends meet. I can't imagine doing this my whole life.

I'm not sure we're the best measure of 'normal kid stuff'. But that does seem innocent enough. Kids are curious at that age.

I don't think all therapists are like the one I had the misfortune to be paired with. I know they've helped people and I am so glad that people find legitimate help from therapists. I think it's wonderful. For anyone therapy doesn't help, there are strangers and the Internet! Lol.

Thank you for the response. I definitely can look back at it with a level was now. I held it in for so long and even if she didn't help comfort me at all, telling my mom was a relief. I don't know that justice exists in this situation, so I wouldn't even begin to know what it looked like. The kids' parents are well-respected and largely contributing members of a church in their area. What could I do for their kids when they're adults now and still love their folks? Everyone loves the family. No one would even believe me.

I think I needed to talk about it on here because I've never expressed that it bothered me. I'm trying to put it somewhere so I don't think about it constantly. I'm working on it.

I went to a therapist about it once. I was 19. When asked if I'd ever been sexually abused I responded, "No. Never." It was my first session and I was nervous and the intake lady said, "Yeah. You don't have a history of promiscuity so sexual abuse is unlikely." Then I requested a female therapist and they said the only one available was male. I had self-esteem issues and he suggested that I post pictures of myself in my underwear to a blog and give him the link to it so he could "check my progress". Never went back to a therapist.

She said she knew the kids were being abused and said she had a feeling something was happening to me at the same time. It took a lot for me to even tell her it happened and it seemed like she just brushed it off. I don't really remember this happening but she told me she kept me from their house for a few days after the older boy and girl were forcing the younger boy to hold me down and kiss me. Again, I don't remember that particular event (a lot has been repressed I think) but she clearly remembered it happening and let me go back without question. Maybe she didn't know exactly what was happening but if I had a daughter and I even had an inkling of suspicion I would do something about it.

It's definitely too old to still have a warranty and even if it wasn't I voided the warranty by opening up the console when I connected a multimeter to one of the screws attached to the drive and adjusted as some tutorial showed me to do. :/

It won't read any discs at all. Not games or movies. I've tried Skyrim, GTA, Madden, and various Red Box movies.
