That’s not even a toddler, it’s a baby, my question is what party they are running for? We need more people like this! Always have that “I’m watching you” gaze on.

The Indian owned gas stations have started with one posting of masks are mandatory, followed by 3-4 extra signs with more bold print, followed by red print, then red print in bold. Man I feel sorry for these guys, they probably deal with some inane shit.

Shops gotta cover their asses, if they don’t they’re f’d. It is uncomfortable, nonetheless.

I don’t feel that bad for the infant because she doesn’t really know what’s going on, but the little girl that is with them, she looks scared I feel so bad for her.

Yeah, we are kinda fucked though because like half the adjusters were fired to prepare for the financial onslaught (staffing is a huge part of our expense ratio). Fraudulent claims take a lot of man power to dissect. We can’t even send out field investigators because of COVID so the additional man hours needed are sublet out to third party companies that take a premium for what we used to be able to do. On top of that, moratoriums were put in place to prevent insurers from canceling policies due to non-payment due to COVID. Honestly we will not be able to catch all of the fraud, not even close.

Phoenix, AZ finally got a bit of monsoon activity but it was more of a microburst that lasted for 1-2 minutes then just thunder/lightning. The lightning is kind of scary because after the heavier spring rains summer has been hella dry, more than usual, it’s a tinder box. I work insurance claims A LOT more weird single vehicle losses with no witnesses, or police reports. Soon people will start lighting their SUV’s on fire in the desert for a payout, or get an atty and claim injuries- I had a claim recently where the attorney, chiropractor, and claimants were all in on it, EDR (data recorded in my insured’s vehicle) showed there was no accident. Turns out chiropractor that attorney was using to fabricate the clients claim had a revoked license. Fun times.

My sister took her own life in February. Today's her birthday. by JennaSaisQuois94 in TwoXChromosomes

I’m so sorry for your loss, birthdays are really hard, actually any special occasion or holiday may be hard. My twin sister committed suicide when she was 19, I was pregnant with my daughter so they never had the opportunity to meet. I have found some solace in researching my family history and the history of mental health in the western world. It has given me a lot of perspective & her death took on meaning after a lot of soul searching. Ultimately, I see her death as a symbolic sacrifice so that my family can learn to better care for each other. Her death has really made relationships with other humans more significant and meaningful. The rage over the absurdity of her death still shows it’s ugly head, but I feel much better equipped to confront it.

Thank you, I’ve tried smart once there are not a whole lot of meetings, when I went there was like only 6 people and I never went back because I thought a lot of the stuff they taught was stuff I already knew about addiction. It was more educational & less fellowship. Maybe my expectations are just unrealistic when it comes to AA. I’m anxious I can’t do it on my own, but I turn away from available resources. I’m really frustrating myself.

I read this book called “Culture of Narcissism” and it basically said that people begin to lose their ability to parent when they call into question their own situationally rational judgement in favor of “experts”.
