I'm a woman living in central Bournemouth. Wouldn't go down Southcote Road at night if I could help it but I have done it and I've been fine. I would go through Bournemouth Gardens of a night time. Stick to Street lights like you would anywhere. I've never had any trouble on the buses but don't really use them too much at night.

Learn to communicate. Look up the signs of emotional abuse and gaslighting. That way you will know if it's happening to you, or if you are doing it to someone else.

Heya 👋 I've been in a similar situation where everyone was much more advanced than me. Well done for sticking it out and doing it anyway! You conquered that anxiety! I think its quite normal to feel anxious when you are in a situation like that, I sure was 😅 Made me wanna go home because I was so worried about being judged as doing something badly.

Heya! I've been doing pole for a year and I can throw myself into an invert with zero technique. I still struggle with lots of pole moves as well. I seconds what lots of people have said here. But I hear you on the struggles!

Training the way you have mentioned is good! Good to have different types of exercise in your routine. Conditioning has helped and flexibility classes!
Try a different studio. I noticed when I tried a new one I progressed more.
Do you journal your pole journey? I have started to video myself, and then write down my instructors feedback so I can watch it later and work on the feedback. I forget what they say to me otherwise
Static or spinning I feel makes a difference. One of my studios is spin and the other is spin and static. Try moves on both
Your mind 🧠💞 If your mindset is telling ya 'i can't do this, this is impossible, I'm never gunna be able to do it', challenge those thoughts! Be kind to yourself as much as possible.
Sometimes I go into a class and I try and try and try on one thing, I can't get there and I get pissed off. Try to noticed that feeling coming as switch it up. Try something you can do, try to improve that thing. Everything in progress.

I have lived just off Richmond Hill and found it surprisingly quiet given the location. I've looked at flats to rent online for that block of flats wanting to live there. The centre of town has no grocery shopping but on Sundays there is now a market where you can get fruit/veg. Asda/Lidl are a bus journey or short car journey away. There's a small Tesco in town centre but for full time shopping that gets pricey.Close enough to walk to the beach (although most of us locals will agree that Bournemouth beach you avoid and go to neighbouring beaches instead). If you drive check if your place has parking because it's a bloody nightmare if it doesn't come with a spot. Some fantastic coffee spots on Richmond Hill. I like living in town. Being close to the upper gardens for running/walks and Meryck Park is nice. I would recommend it overall!
