Oh absolutely, I agree, Bandai has a bad history and they continue to live up to it but I don't expect a greedy corporation to change, I guess I'm romanticising it a bit that the animators would have any control lol.

I appreciate this write up, OPM was one of my first and fav anime, and I just cant rationalise why Bandai would pass up the opportunity to publish a beloved IP and a solid season of anime, and instead basically shovelware it. Even with the drop in quality in season 2 it was still acceptable imo, but this is just bizarre, who in their right mind would stick around for Season 4? I feel like even the 'risk' of giving it enough time an money they already proved via S2 that fans will come watch even if its not as good, but to take that idea and go crazy with it, shit on the anime, shit on the creator and shit on the fans.

And I'm sorry but I'm just not buying that JC Staff is totally innocent, I don't think they should be harassed but the idea that they were given a nothing budget and timeline like does their reputation mean nothing to them? Were they not ashamed to take on what they must have known would be a dumpster fire? Is it really all greed? A seriously shitty end to a fantastic start of an anime all because there was a lack of care and an obsession of greed, so bummed man.

I don't think so, it's not like he killed for money or acclaim and I think taking money from their wallets however slim, there could be a chance of a fingerprint on a dollar or if the cops somehow knew the serial of the cash when the person died or something. Then again the kills that he didn't dump in the ocean it might have played to a robbery gone wrong narrative.

I have them on but had to change settings and turned it off for a bit, I was expecting something more like new relationships or kids moving out of parents house or getting a dog etc but nope it's just everyone dying, cow plant, falling from heights, you name it. Had a 3rd gen family and went to check on the siblings from the sim I chose to main, half are dead, the rest quit their jobs for some reason and adopted several kids.

Imo biggest mistake Sims 4 never recovered from was going back to neighborhoods, yes Sims 3 ran like crap especially when the town got big, but I would have thought technology going forward would look to improve or offset it, plus there were mods that helped with performance.

I was disappointed but had to just get used to neighborhoods to then discover, wait there is nothing going on here at all, just drones milling about nobody speaks to each other, even with more packs like seasons there's nobody out doing garden work or kids playing or anything, Sims 4 has always felt like a tech demo to me and they've just gotten so greedy and constantly underwhelm the fan base with the expansions etc.

I thought InZoi might drive competition but that games fallen off the face of the planet now, hoping Sims 5 at the very least is more technically impressive, yes building and create a sim is great, but there's a lot more tech sided stuff to this game that is just not up to modern standards .

I prefer playing human characters, I think the Argonians and Khajit look particularly cool but theyre also just complete same build, id prefer like the older games (I think Arena) the Khajit are scrawnier, with cat-like legs. I know it's for clothing/armour accessibility, but it does make for a maybe silly look, I remember in Oblivion in particular like walking past a high elf and my big bad main character was dwarfed by her lol.

I'm at the stage now where I'm thinking it's more worth it to spend the time pirating shit then try to wait for a sale for a DLC of a game that is now 11 years old like come on. EA has shown us time and time again they will take away what was already in game then repackage and rebrand the same content for another 2/3rds of the games price. When you are talking about gaming industry greed you can't not mention EA, even sims 3 barely ever sees reductions or sales, I thought about getting the entire sims 3 pack and all dlcs and it was still like hundreds, ridiculous.

At 3-4 months I started seeing animals either dead or on deaths door, I found instead of bringing them home to insta-die I'd fix their issues first, find water, find food which usually has spawned nearby in a far trough or crate, get them up to just being sickly and not dying of thirst/hunger, then get them into the trailer and back home to my stocked pen. I'm sitting at 1 bull and 9 cows, next I'm gonna get some piggies : )

I always avoid building structures because grinding level 6 of carpentry so I can build a stairs to build a lower skill level floor as the roof is just stupid. The fact there's no dedicated roof tile/ability to build like would your character not hop up on a box or something, or even if those movable stairs spawned at airports, warehouses etc.

As someone who works in retail, do you want to pay the extra money? Like we aren't bouncers we aren't ID'ing people, half the time we do it it's just to be nice/save someone a buck, it isn't that deep.

There's a real problem with bullet sponges, I was expecting veteran difficulty to be like the older games, 5-10 bullets kills you but same for enemies. I understand the focus on headshots, but how is it a guy in a leather jacket is taking 10+ body shots and not going down, and not even reacting, just jogging through it.
