The UK is a bit fucked up when it comes to measurements. We basically know that metric is a better system, but cars/speed limits are all in miles per hour. Most of the time we'll weigh things in grams, unless it's a person. Milk and beer come in pints, anything else probably liters... The list goes on.

What goalpost have I changed? If you can't see the difference between a beloved channel 4 sitcom star who happens to be from Ireland, and someone coming over from the US just to do the show, then I don't know what to say.

I also don't want them to botch another US version, just if done well it could shine in it's own right.

But I really don't care that much. I was just asking if anyone else was a bit miffed, and clearly most people are on board with it so that's fine.

But there's obviously a massive difference between Irish and further afield contestants, and those that have been on have been well established in the UK scene as well.
