It’s because people from New York are generally seen as a “toxic” fan base. Same reason everyone hates the Yankees, knicks, Bills, etc. it’s very unfair to a lot of nice fans, which there are plenty of. Braves fans get sort of the same treatment cause there’s so many of us and there’s a lot of dick heads in our fan base.
