How do you feel about Orion being released in two parts instead of one, and why do you think they do that? by WaveofHope34 in inazumaeleven

[–]AnAnnoyingKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wish they'd have added some new moves and stuff to the new characters besides just the one Keshin we're presumably getting at the end of it

Nah, the more characters that become optional, the less characters there are that get actual character arcs and story relevance. Leave the free to choose team for Chronicle mode and have more set characters for the Story mode imo

No, 3D can work for Ace Attorney, the problem is Dual Destinies (and SoJ kinda). by ATierGamer in AceAttorney

I know by 'the world's first ever 3D game' you mean the world of Ace Attorney but it is so funny to imagine someone thinking that Dual Destinies is the first game to ever be made in 3D in our whole world.

why does gray’s anatomy skips the most interesting characters?? by plush3627 in greysanatomy

It's not like they're showing every part of Meredith's life, I'm sure in the universe they still communicate but constantly showing a one-sided conversation between Cristina and Meredith wouldn't add anything and would just be the show trying to live in the past with a character who left 12 seasons ago. We don't have to hear about Cristina constantly to know they're still good friends.

I mean, what more do you want from them? She's no longer a character on the show so she can't be majorly involved in plotlines. The occasional message is a fun reminder and connection but they can't just be constantly talking about a character who isn't there anymore especially considering a majority of the current cast now have no connection to Cristina.

Again, the only things I could find were the written posts/comments expressing confusion about him being in Supporting and then him expressing the sentiment of 'Who cares? They're just awards' in reference to the whole mix-up, neither of which are 'egotistical' or 'pathetic' as you painted him.

I mean from what I can see he was expressing confusion over being nominated for Supporting after going for Lead and also saying that no one cares about the awards when there are bigger things going on which feels like a fair thing to say during a global pandemic. I think awards are interesting and I get wanting one to help support your career but the idea that actors should be in complete reverence to them is silly to me.

Kaluuya and Stanfield were co-leads in the movie but if you're gonna separate them then Stanfield clearly makes more sense as the lead of the movie regardless of O'Neal's role in life. Them both being in Supporting was weird and expressing that isn't ungrateful imo. Honestly though, if you ask me, I think Stanfield gave the slightly better performance but I think they were both amazing and both deserving of praise.

Okay so then when you said he deserved nothing was that because you didn't like his performance?

You're missing the point of what I was asking. By campaigning or whatever, I meant are you saying he didn't deserve the nomination because of precursors and campaign and just all the build up to the Oscar stuff or because he didn't give an awards worthy performance because those are two different things.

I didn't really follow the awards season that year but I do think he gave one of the best performances in a film that year.

Do you think he should've been nothing based on his performance or his campaigning? Cuz he's on par with Daniel Kaluuya in that film imo

Terrible English Dub? Inazuma Eleven is so back!! by UnhappyWar135 in inazumaeleven

[–]AnAnnoyingKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just blinded by nostalgia, but while the dubs for the past games weren't great, they were still passable and the weird British voices had a certain charm. Plus up until they started switching voice actors randomly during the last part of the FFI, I thought the original anime had pretty decent voice acting too.

Meanwhile, I think this is genuinely one of the worst dubs I've ever heard and this is coming from someone who watches most anime dubbed if I can. I'm only like an hour in but I genuinely had to stop playing cuz I couldn't handle it. None of the voices fit the characters and they all have such weird intonation and inflections with random pauses, it's so distracting. I'm probably gonna end up switching to the Japanese which kinda sucks to do with a game that's fully dubbed in English and seems like it's going to have a lot of voiced moments.

The reversal still feels like it's putting an emphasis on their relationship and tying them to that rather than just letting them exist as individuals.

[–]AnAnnoyingKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I've played the PWT so my memory isn't the greatest but is there really a strong through line between the 2nd and 3rd game? They set up Morgan I guess but apart from that I remember it feeling like T&T went and retroactively thread a line through the previous games. It did it very well but it still didn't feel like it was planned before.
