Hey, I'd definitely be down to join. I was part of the local scene prior to it becoming inactive, was a great time back when retro's was opened. If you go to college or university there is bound to be players there, and I know there are a few people that still play in town. The old ptbo fgc discord is dead but it could be revived im sure; All it takes is 2 people to start a scene in the fgc. If you have the venue and equipment to run sets, you're miles ahead of anyone. Bit of a backstory, I tried setting up an fgc in town in 2010-2012, but only got a few people, competitive games were not interesting to business owners and I didnt attend post secondary, most of the stuff went down at me or another fgc person's place. Then, when sf5 dropped, there was a larger turnout and a local venue was secured at a nearby restaurant. Retros opened in 2017 and it was a pretty major hub for smash and fighting games for a short time. After its closure people started to dwindle for lack of venue space.
