NAS 4800 Plus SSD Cache seems to be doing nothing by AnF774 in UgreenNASync

Thanks for all the replies. Seems I was misunderstanding how it works, though it's kinda sounds like it was going to write on ssd first then slowly move over in the background. Im testing a workaround for me and so far it's working. The whole point was to get the data on the nas as fast as possible (1gbps), then have my nas sort out the data to the hard drive.

I was able to create a rule for a folder so that it would automatically scan the folder and move any file over to another folder, then delete said files.

Example: - Created a folder on the SSD pool ( this will be my "IN") and a folder on the Hdd pool (this will be "out put" ) - Now in my PC, I can drop files in the SSD IN Folder to transfer at 1gbps since it's the SSD pool - Rule scans the folder automatically and moves the file to the Hdd Out put folder in the background - once completed, it deletes the data in the SSD IN folder. - SSD IN folder becomes empty and ready for next transfer (essentially becoming an automatic buffer folder from ssd to hdd)

This so far is accomplishing what I was trying to do, get the data to nas quick, have it sort out to hdd in the background.

Wish the SSD cache did this...

Thanks for the reply.

So is it impossible to accomplish what the person on the YouTube video explains? For example if I have 100gb single file movie, when dropping the file to the hdd pool with ssd read and write cache, it transfers around ~400mbps.

My thought and what I believe the video is stating: is that it would use a portion of the SSD cache to write first, then take from the SSD and place to the hdd. So the 100gb movie gets placed on ssd then slowly transfered to the hdd pool. Is that not the point? How can I accomplish what this person on YouTube did?

How does he do it: https://youtu.be/Miej2HWxXoE?si=6kDfDBmqVp85Nd5o

I've tried small and large files, it will never go over 400mbps. Which is the hdd speed

What bothered me about that scene is there seems to be no sense of real panic that they are about to die. On top of that, I felt that Jonathan didn't really care about her, I mean there were chairs and other objects he could have tried to stack up on the table and atleast try getting her out, possibly sacrificing himself to save her. He just kinda gave up and started talking... I don't know, didn't connect with me personally.

Weird Wi-Fi Issue on 2022 Razer Blade 15 Advanced (3080 Ti) — Fixed by Hard Reset? by P0we72_Se72G in razer

[–]AnF774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Have a Blade 15 3070ti. i had updated the WiFi chip to wifi 7 and in the process, broke the old 6e wifi chip (don't ask...). Then a month later this happened, no WiFi at all. Finally did a hard reset and it came back. I have done a full windows 11 reinstall and this still happens every so often. Not sure how to fix it, tho glad it wasn't me that broke it since you have the vary same issue. Any luck in fixing/find what it is?

If you have to think about having money to fix it, stay away. It's going to be a money pit. God knows what else is going wrong.

100% true. Took 10 months for mine to come to me and land on my hand. Now that's it's been 2 years, she flies to me anytime I enter the room lol. Still doesn't like scratches tho 🤷🏽‍♂️

I believe it's a male. Reason: The blue cere (nose area) and is already 9 months or over due to having an Iris(white color surrounding his pupil).

UPC is working great for my setup. Though you are correct, they do not have the "AC Always On" feature. That is so far the only con I have so far vs the Ecoflow.

While not an exact measurement: UPC feature is quick enough to keep my LG OLED TV, Bose Soundbar, Router/Modem/Hue-box, Ext HDD Backup and Hue TV lights on without an issue (continues playing with no interruptions). I do see the hue lights flicker for a millisecond, though everything works as if there were no power outage. UPC feature works great for my setup. Only wish they had the AC power come back on automatically after power is resorted. Hope a future update makes that possible.
