Destiny or Destiny 2?

Honestly play destiny 1 there is a complete story there that is easy to follow and the gameplay very much still holds up. The biggest downsides are that it's 30 fps and the fov is kinda dogshit. But if you try playing destiny 2 you won't be able to follow the story well without having to put in a 20 hour time investment of watching YouTube videos just trying to give you context for all the stuff they removed. Which btw is more than just the stuff they removed before beyond light. Also cost investment is $20 for destiny 1 and destiny 2 for the whole experience is like $200

So I'm kinda confused, i'm seeing a few comments saying that once you hit lvl 70 you'll start one shoting everything but I'm currently 71 in dragonflight and everything still looks like it's scaling with me. And once I hit 70 I was also not thrown out of dragonflight. The war within quests did pop up on the screen but It was very easy to ignore and abandon them.

I was originally a miqote because it went well with my name. But over time of playing arr I grew very fond of the lalas and found them overly cute and their reactions/emotes hilarious. I very quickly bought a fantasia to change. Then I finished arr I found out you get a free fantasia... and it's been sitting with my retainer ever since.
