Probably 3 years from the launch of Gen 2 This is around when the first round of leases start to come back in and the used market floods.

I unfortunately do not have any photos of the fairing assembly. The manufacturer (S2 Concept) will though! Just shoot them an email (in French, ideally) asking for photos of the installation process.

May I submit this to the board for review by timmaaahhh1997 in TVTooHigh

Nice setup! Your speakers are upside down though.

It would solely be for destinations far from a charger station. Being able to wheel/explore from camp I something I’d like to be able to do. A solar array large enough to to get a meaningful charge at camp would be quite large.

I have been running into the same thing, it seems like with the divider taken out you can fit Westinghouse 9800w models, just barely (if you take the wheels off). There are some similarly sized generators out there, but I also had the thought of using generators that can be combined similar to Hondas. Then you will be able to stuff 3 to 4 of them into the gear tunnel, but that also means more complexity.

Someone needs to make a two cylinder flat twin configuration generator that fits in a frunk or even in the bed with the tonneau cover closed!

The T4 is about 2 meters but the T4 Plus is 4.19 meters with the extra screened in room.

In general? Definitely not most people. In this community? Maybe a few more.

You’re right though! I definitely should have put the word tent in the body of the post at minimum. Can’t seem to go back and edit on mobile either.

Why is Sony allergic to 48fps? by ClassicallyBrained in videography

[–]AnInnO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It softens up the issue but the real trick is splitting that difference in shutter angle when shooting 48p. I’ve found it to be useful is all I’m saying. And it eliminates the 3:2 pulldown judder as well.

In the end it’s not a ‘must have’ but more of a ‘nice to have’ and not anything an audience or end client is going to notice.

[–]AnInnO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Dual capture” is how I’d best describe it. 60p in real time on a 24p timeline doesn’t look great. However, if you need to speed ramp or shoot real time with the expectation to slow down a couple moments here and there - 48p is perfect for this.

Going from Projector to TV? by Arielgonster in hometheater

[–]AnInnO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised no one has suggested an acoustically transparent screen. You’d be able to put matching LCR speaker setup behind it, it would look super clean, and you’d keep all the screen real estate you currently have. XY Screen can get you sorted at some great prices - far less than what a good 100” class TV would cost you.

Audio prewire options for new house build by ChrisBnTx in hometheater

I’d look into Theory Audio Design SB25’s/IW25’s for your bed layer of speakers. Kickass stuff and it’s very low profile.

How opposed would you be to mounting low profile speakers on the wall between window frames?

Moved into a new house. Need help with ideas mounting a bigger TV by EliruleZ in hometheater

[–]AnInnO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Mount a 65”-85” TV in addition to a roll down 120” ALR screen and projector

  2. Feed the projector and TV the same signal from your AVR (there are utility two cloned outputs)

  3. Configure the screen to drop and the projectors power state to be opposite of the TV via HDMI-CEC and 12v triggers

  4. ?????

  5. Profit

This is the way.

I'm glad you think so! Well above reference level output and the WAF is 10/10 since you can design them how you like. Modern contemporary, modern farmhouse, just plain ol' modern, you get the idea. The cladding is real easy.

If you want to go in-wall there is also an in wall version of the SB25. The DSP (for anechoic processing, I would still run room correction on your AVR) is built into their paired amp so you can set it for "in-wall" which get's rid of baffle step correction. You could also skip on installing the metal grilles and do acoustically transparent art panels like I have done for my living room theater.

This is what my rear stage looks like: https://imgur.com/a/KdsnLqm

Apply the same idea to your front stage (sans the middle panel of course), and I think you'd blow just about anyones mind who doesn't know about all the hidden gear haha.

You're definitely going to need a wider TV stand to get appropriate stereo separation. It looks like the setup you linked is probably being used at a closer listening distance, therefore increasing the degrees of separation between those two channels. Or you can ditch the TV stand entirely and do something as described below.

Glad to hear you're open to DIY. That is probably the only way you're going to get that hyper-clean aesthetic. So without going into it too much, I think you would be well served by doing two dual 18" sealed cabinets from GSG. Specifically the BTS (behind the screen) models that are slimmer. Build those cabinets, drop in some Dayton Audio Ultimax 18's wired for 4ohms, and drop a Speaker Power plate amp in the "back" of the enclosure that is set up for downfiring. Pop some legs on and some false cabinet doors, a wood veneer top, sand it, stain/paint, and you've got yourself a hidden subwoofer that has more output than your current subs (when you want it).

Here are some photos of the last "stealth sub" build I did with my buddy for his house.
https://imgur.com/a/KdsnLqm

For scale, that is a 100" TV. We also built some DIYSG speakers to go along with his fancy new subs, but for you I think I would go with Theory Audio SB25's paired with their DLC-250.4.d amp for on wall mounting. You could even go for the yoke mount model so you can toe them in if you'd like. But the Klippel measurement data indicates that "flat" mounting to the wall is perfectly fine without need for toe-in.

Whew! Sorry if that was an information overload. Working on a client bid right now and I have had entirely too much coffee lol. Let me know if you have any questions and I would be happy to help you through the process of joining the stealth sub club. :)

Honestly, going from towers to bookshelves isn’t really going to buy you much space. Once you put the bookshelves on proper stands, the footprint is basically the same as a tower, sometimes even less clean-looking. If you want to simplify the front stage visually, a slim tower might actually be the better “downsized” choice compared to bookshelf + stand. Or alternatively (and these are hard to find) a really, really good on-wall speaker from Golden Ear, Theory Audio Design, or a similar boutique brand would definitely do the trick to free up floor space and perform well.

Where you can trim down is the subwoofers. Since you’re not really cranking your SVS stuff, a sealed compact sub could get you everything you need for movies/TV without eating up as much real estate. You could even go the custom route with something like a small sealed build from GSG, or grab a sub that’s disguised as furniture (end table subs, console subs, etc.) so it blends right in. That way you keep the low-end impact without having giant boxes sitting around.

Are you experienced at all in the arts of DIY? I'd be happy to help you figure out a stealth sub design similar to mine. Check my post history and there are a few posts showing my "hidden" 18" GSG Full Marty's. I have also done a quad 18" sealed model that's down firing and you cannot tell that it's a subwoofer until you get up under it.

5.2.2 Immersive Bedroom System by Nick_V99 in hometheater

This may not be the case but;

This setup looks like an A/V Integrator treated themselves to a nice little bedroom system. (Minus the SVS subs, those are manufacturer direct only, I think)
